As a medical assistant, I could be asked to instruct a patient to give a mainstream specimen. As my job, I would make sure I had a sterile container with lid and label ready, antiseptic wipes and the patient record ready. I would call the patient back into the office, asking the patient her name and DOB. After verifying that, I would record the information on the label on the container. Then I would explain to the patient what she needs to do to get a clean accurate sample. I would simply tell the patient to make sure she washes her hands before starting this. I would tell the patient to carefully remove the lid from the container and to make sure not to touch inside the container. Then I would tell the patient to place the lid on a paper towel,
d) Setting out procedures When setting out for procedure its done in two stages in our practice. First is initial setting of the instruments and materials before patient enter room. This table is moveable and can be set in desirable position. Hand pieces and local anaesthetic syringe with needle are place on the stationary table in the reach of clinical in the case she may need them.
If I had to choose one activity to pursue, I would go with activity number one: assistant at Drake Dental. I would choose this one primary because it involves helping others. “We rise by lifting others” is a quote that resonates with me as I believe strongly in its message. My job, while it may be insignificant compared to others around the office, involves helping others by making sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it be scheduling an appointment, or simply greeting the patient as they walk in, my job is to ensure that the patient feels satisfied with their dental experience.
Secondly, I used safety during medication administration. My preceptor and I would pull up one patient at a time when taking out medications. I also

I would maintain the patient’s privacy. I would instruct the cleaning worker to keep the floor dry every time. I would make sure that every examination and reviews were done prior to surgery. I would check the patient’s record carefully before administering drug. I would confirm patient’s sensitiveness to any kind of allergic reaction and consult with doctors if needed.
I was highly impressed by the overall teamwork in the emergency department. It has a sense of organized chaos that would have taken me some time to adjust to. My nurse and I ended up going through a large group of patient during the time I was there. The nurse has this uniformity to how she would get her tasks done. The thing that through me off was the amount of stuff got done with our patients by other people.
Since the beginning of wondrous time, physical therapy has always been an option for my profession. It is my belief that this occupation grant the exposure of great responsibilities and professionalism to set a high standard for a patient need. The ability that requires those tasks must include self-discipline, honesty and diligent. “I observe the physician with the same diligence as the disease.” (John Donne)
I want to be a physician because I want people to grow old. At the age of 6, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with leukemia. By age 8, the disease claimed his life, robbing him of the opportunity to experience the privilege of growing old. Unfortunately, we live in a society of vanity. We see the process of aging and choose not to embrace it.
I 've had four jobs in my entire life, and some were better than others. My last job was in the fall of 2010 at a restoration company. They work with insurance companies, who have fire or flood claims, to try and restore all the textiles before they`re considered a total loss. That fall discovered that this was the worst place to work at, it was so bad my stomach turns every time I drive by the building. The pay, the conditions, and the manager made this job unbearable.
My passion for healthcare lies with patient care. I enjoy taking care of patients and their family. I have chosen to become a family nurse practitioner because I can combine nursing and medicine to provide a higher level of care to my patients. As a nurse practitioner will be able to make an impact on my patient’s health through, health promotion, disease prevention, managing acute and chronic conditions and improving patient’s health (Wynne,

I believe my practical experience and what I’ve learned during my six years as a dental assistant at Plainview Oral sets me apart from other students. Not only for the dental skills that I have acquired, but also for the kindness and care that I have demonstrated, when working with patients in real life situations. Many patients have thanked me for my professional bedside manner both before, during, and after surgery. I also assisted patients with disabilities, and was able to exhibit a patient and positive attitude when working with them. Hands-on skills such as taking impressions, radiographs, and making night guards will help me thrive in dental school.
My alarm was blaring at six-thirty A.M., and the bright sun was shining through the curtains. I started my daily routine - shower, eat breakfast, get dressed, and brush my teeth. Around seven-thirty, I send my beautiful kids off to school with loving hugs and waves good-bye. I pack a lunch for myself and kiss my handsome husband good -
Julia looked out of her bedroom window across the great expanse of moorland that spread beyond the garden gate and sighed. She had swapped the hustle and hectic glamour of London for the green and heather clad moorland of Yorkshire. It had been a great wrench to leave her home for the big city, leaving behind all she loved and knew, but being offered a place at medical school had been too much of an opportunity to miss out on. There had been times when rushing between lectures, jumping on her bicycle and cycling from campus to campus, or cycling back to her lodgings in Camden through the car jammed streets of London, thick with noise and engine fumes, that she had longed for this solitude and clean fresh air. But now she wasn’t so certain that
Experiences emerge in a myriad of forms and can be positive, neutral, or negative. Perspective, however, is the valuable aspect of experience that can alter life in an infinite number of scenarios. Lessons learned are not bound by nature and their interpretation is a time honored tradition of consciousness. They take place solely in the deep recesses of our minds. During my brief existence thus far, I have experienced much, but it is not until recently that I have begun to understand.
