The transmutation from the fall semester to the spring, was quite strenuous, no longer was I a part time student. I was taking 16 credits and this meant adjusting to the course load. The first couple of weeks were a hassle and I felt that there were not enough days in the week to complete the assignments. Now, in the mid semester, one of my main priorities was to purchase a planner and a calendar. I have been writing important due dates and events on them. Prior to this, I would remember information solely through memorization. The planner has helped to improve my organization skills. No longer do I complete the assignment the night before and my grades demonstrate the change. In order to make sure I have sufficient time to complete each task, I have formulated time frames. My strategy is to complete homework Monday through Thursday and have the weekend free. This has allowed me to balance my studies with my personal life. The admission process in order to get into the into Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is selective and I am extremely fortunate to have gained acceptance. The program will help guide me through the …show more content…
Through the clubs I have joined, I have built great friendships and we have similair interests. Benjamin Franklin once said “If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas”.A key aspect in being succesful are having poisitive vibes around you and friends who challenge you. Throughout the lessons taught in my Intro the Bible course, my faith has been growning. The Chapel has been a place for prayer and where I find peace. I am looking forward to the second half of the semester. I am striving to be the best student I can be and making the best out of these four years so that I can be the best candidate in the application pool when applying for jobs. Success and failure are part of the learning experience, but at the end of the day, they have been learning
What I did – I reviewed 10 employee expense reports to determine if corresponding receipts were attached and approvals had been provided, and I also assessed whether reported payments were eligible for reimbursement based on Schnitzer Steel Accounting Manual Section 300-10 (Expense Report Approval Procedure and Supporting Documentation Requirement) and 300-20(Expense Report Eligibility Requirement). After two exceptions were identified, I pulled 40 more employee expense reports based on Schnitzer Steel Internal Audit Manual – Chapter 2: Sampling Methodology to determine if the exceptions were isolated instances or systemic issues. What I found – Within the initial 10 expense reports, I found two exceptions. Specifically, Sample No.7 with a total amount over $1,000 did not have required evidence of second approval from a department head, and Sample No.9 was missing one receipt.

Most directors and managers focus on improving the efficiency of processes with the software currently available, but ignore solutions that require major changes. Developing new applications is expensive and time consuming, so for them, there is no urgency to take the risk if not required. Legacy software has been used since the 1970’s with enhancements, but the overall framework is outdated and future capabilities are limited. I will share my experiences and propose new ideas to improve current procedures from the perspective of a junior analyst. Executives normally view processes from a high level with less detail associated with each process, and may not understand the day to day challenges faced.
This group of population was chosen as the target respondent because of their ease of accessibility to internet and the nature of company business which require internet access throughout the whole working hours. Every respondent was provided by the company with internet-connected device either a laptop or computer for working purpose. However, any employee who wish to bring internet-connected device such as mobile phone and tablet is allowed by the company as long as they are not connected to corporate network. For a start, the researcher approached the Human Capital Development department of the target respondent, where he sought permission to conduct his research by producing a formal application through letter. The researcher was granted
DECISION: Our team has agreed on the 3rd decision which is to break down the production jobs into several job categories and do a job analysis for each category. JUSTIFICATION: Our current problem is that the employee's’ refusal to take on some duties is likely to result into a lower production rate, then a lower profit, lower wages, and, at the end, a higher turnover rate. To avoid/minimize these negative consequences, at our current financial state, we need a set of readily applicable job procedures and rules for a reasonable price.
I have a calendar that I use to write all assignments. My planner allows me to keep track of all my daily tasks, which is great. To prioritize my assignments, I would place assignments in order based on major assignments versus minor assignments, meaning I would weigh the assignments based on which assignment weighs more as a grade and which assignment is less important or repetitive. Beginning with and spending more time on the major assignment than on anything else; I would complete the daily, recurring assignments that does not make up a significant portion of my final grade
1. How likely will the patient be more willing to cooperate with the innovation? 2. How likely will the innovation fit easily into the current rules & regulations? 3.
1. A beautiful woman with eyes the color of amber and a strong will to match mine. 2. Where I could go and hang out with my friends.
I’ve spent several summers at the Brickner Microbiology Lab at Northwestern University. I first became involved with the lab the summer after my sophomore year of highschool. I worked as a paid lab technician. I preformed custodial duties and learned how to operate and maintain pieces of lab equipment. During this time I sat in on “Journal Club” paper review sessions and learned about the research projects running at the lab.
If I knew that I would be away from home all day at a marching band competition on Saturday, then I would need to schedule time during the week and Sunday to work on projects or studying for tests. I could no longer procrastinate until the last minute, or I would end up getting only one or two hours of sleep. Because of marching band, I changed my habits of procrastination and transformed into a schedule-oriented
I learned a lot of new information from the guest speakers last week. I don’t think that I could see myself doing something like what Adrienne Gavula with ACLU does. I feel that I would get too passionate about a topic and get discouraged if things stayed the same for a long period of time. After hearing Adrienne talk I know that they usually have to wait long period of time before anything happens. I would feel that I would want some type of encouragement in order to keep working as hard as I would be.
The most appropriate high tech SGD hardware for my client would be the Accent 1000. The reason why is because of the amount of the symbols located on the page of the screen. Since there is 84 symbols located on the first page, Cruz would not have to navigate as much though many different pages to find the words that he needs to express himself The weight of the device is 3.6 pounds with 13 to 15 hours of battery life. The weight and the battery coincide with one another. The device weighs 3.6 pounds which means the battery is included and this can affect the weight.
When it comes to preparations I believe that everyone should put it to prayer, that is one of the things that I would be doing and being in Southeastern University is perfect for that because we have the liberty to just pray, pray before classes or after classes, before dinner, or just praying because we are thankful for what God has done for us. Another preparation that should be done is determining if the career path is the right one for me and if that is what God wants me to do because at the moment I am going for a major in graphic design because I believe that through my art, I can spend the word of God and this University is perfect because it is a Christ center one and that everything we do, we do for our Lord and savior. That is why my goals this year is to try out graphic design, to see if this is what God is asking of me or whether it has to do with the passion I have in playing the piano and that my calling might be centered around that, or I might just pick something completely different than what I even thought about becoming because that is what God’s calling is for
Reflecting and changing my cognitive thinking allowed me to adapt and change, with the mindset that it is due earlier that it is leading the brain in a misconception to push my brain to finish well before due time. I went through many retrieval strategies to make me personally not only feel obligated yet a necessity to get what I need done. I even have some people who have already finished with the class give me strategies to become focused and stay on task. They told me to always stay on top of it and have integrity. If you are saying you are going to do something then do it.
Instead of forgetting about an assignment that is due tomorrow, a student can already be ahead of the game by knowing when things are due. One way is to get a planner. A planner is a great way to keep organized. Use the syllabus the teachers give you, and write down the assignments that are due ahead of time. This allows the student to get a look of what is coming up.
