Personal Statement for NQT Year I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some truly inspirational teachers and am aware of the effect they have had on my life and the choices I have made subsequently. My own passion for working with young children extends from my desire to emulate these role models and perform the same inspirational function in the lives of my students. I have always enjoyed being around young people and have supplemented my interests in primary teaching with as much work experience as possible. I completed my PGCE Education course and qualified in 2006. Due to personal circumstances, I did not take my skills tests, I am still eligible to take them & will attain QTS status by June. As a Trainee Teacher, I have had …show more content…
In my professional studies assignment, I examined research on the effectiveness on teaching assistants. As a parent the support my son has had from teaching assistants has been extremely positive. He was during primary school, three years behind his peers in Year 2, however by Year 6 he gained a Level 5 in both Maths and Science and Level 4 In English. I also observed during my teaching practices, teaching assistants deployed in several effective ways, such as helping in managing behaviour; making notes and observations about children to aid report writing. Supporting lower ability and EAL children during mental and oral starters; giving assistance in independent work and providing further explanation and visual aids to support understanding. Consequently, I would value and work with them in a concerted and mutually supportive …show more content…
Through the course of his treatments and convalescence I have learned that listening and the understanding of the condition, greater outweighs the physical act of recovery. This has provided me with the skills to become a more confident, care-provider and teacher to make any child succeed. Currently I am undergoing training to become a Friendship Volunteer for Independent Age. Again, this I hope underlines qualities that I have. I also possess excellent communication skills, I am a good listener and I can understand and share the feelings of others. All skills apart from the academic ones which are important to being a good teacher and demonstrates my willingness to go the extra mile. Studying and working in education has shown me that it is a challenging and rewarding career, but I believe my track record of dedication and hard work in both elements suggests that I can meet its demands. My commitment to providing a first-rate education for any child has seen me strive to gain as many additionally useful skills as

Medical Assisting Being a wife and mother of three; I decided that I would return to school to better myself and my family. Mostly to get out and be around people and to help in my community. When researching about medical assisting the article informed me about the future jobs and pay of medical assistants. Medical assistant duties vary within location, specialty and size of the practice.
As a medical assistant we have much responsibilities in the medical office. When it comes to physical therapy and rehabilitation we have a few different roles to do. It is important that we have enough motivation. For example, We may consist with helping them walk . Assisting in rehabilitation may also mean, that you deal with the same patients.
I have been at Udall since preschool. I currently play volleyball, run track, participate in organizations such as FCCLA, FBLA, SADD, NHS Treasurer, and Student Council President. I am employed at JAG Gymnastics in Andover, where I teach and help girls learn to do gymnastics. My sister and I had physical therapy when we were injured, and it helped us both significantly. I will be attending Cowley County Community College for my first two years, then transferring to Emporia State University to pursue my career as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Teaching assistants work in a variety of situations. Sometimes they work with the whole class, sometimes they work with individuals or groups of children. It is important that whichever role we take on we are fair to other children balancing the support needs of the individual with that of the rest of the group. For example if you are working with a particular group and a child from another group asks for help, you would not necessarily ignore the other children. Focus your behaviour on the group you are allocated but not at the detriment of others.
Before leaving biology lab on December 6, I had the honor of interviewing the graduate assistant-teaching for biology 211 lab. During the interview I learned a lot of things about the teaching assistant like her background information and education. Her name is Lauren L and she is a graduate student at Iowa State University. Lauren has worked at Iowa State University for five semesters as a teaching assistant for biology 211 lab. She chose the teaching profession because she truly wants to teach and get some experience teaching undergraduates.
The principles of relationship building with Children, Young people and Adults need to be nurtured in order to maintain the relationship that has already formed. All parties need to feel secure and comfortable around one another in order to build further trust and open up and talk effectively about any subjects and issues. Teaching assistants need to act as good role models to the children, young people and adults. Teaching assistants need to be polite, considerate, empathic and good at identifying and sorting out problems as they are also regarded as a representative of the school. The children and young people need to be encouraged and praised with their academic life and showed by staff that they are accepted for what they are and receive
His role as an oncologist has profoundly influenced the manner in which I plan to practice medicine in the future: with respect, compassion, and empathy for my patients. It was my observation of his interactions with cancer surviving patients that first inspired me to pursue medicine. These interactions inspired me not only to embark on a profession where I could serve others, but also make a difference in the lives of others. I believe I can make the biggest impact in the lives of my future patients by combining my passion for the clinic and science as a physician-scientist. Though I am early in my medical journey, and am willing to keep an open mind, it is only natural that I yearn to pursue a profession related to oncology.
When I looked further into it, the career that interested me the most was Teacher Assisting. Being a teacher’s assistants meets what I value through having a good workplace, since I get to work with kids and it is something I love to do. There would be a sense of accomplishment seeing all when a child finally gets something that they are struggling on and the innovative challenge of coming up with new ways to present the same information so that each student gets the concept. In order to be in this career field I would need to have the abilities of oral comprehension and expression as well as be able to speak clearly and understand what someone is saying when they speak to me. Being in this career field means I would be supervising children in distinct places around the school environment.
I am very interested in being a assistant at West Oaks Eyecare. I am currently a college student who is determined to work hard and figure out what my next step in life will be. I have always been a very caring person, so deciding to be a teacher came naturally, having an extreme level of patience, and an attention to students needs I believe my skill set will best be used teaching Special Education. I have been in Teaching Academy for 3 years, where I have worked with special education students and fell in love with them teaching. If later in life I chose to pursue teaching a different subject I would hope to still have a connection with students and help those especially who get as discouraged as I do in school.if anything is to come from my mistakes at school I hope it's to encourage others not to make the same. Being a teacher is a goal I have set for myself, I know it will not be easy and it will not always be rewarding but if I can help at least one student I will be able to die satisfied I ask again who is Cecilia Gallegos?
They take the time to know their students and know them well. They appreciate what attributes to each child’s story and take ownership of their role in the child’s life for that school year. I feel that I have the skills and attributes of an outstanding teacher because of the pride I take in the love and support I show my students and families. I know teachers have the power to make a lasting difference and I start every year with that mindset.
Self-Authorship has different aspects of our lives reflected. These include how and who we learn from at young ages to an adult. Some ways in which we learn are from our parents, grandparents, and teachers. In order to have a self-authored life we must set goals for our education and how we define success. Also, each person possess different strengths which can relate to the eight competencies taught at George Mason University.
One of the unique aspects of the Department of Child Development and Family Relations is that many of the department’s large core courses offer teaching assistant opportunities to undergraduate students. Teaching assistant opportunities are valuable for undergraduate students to decide whether to apply as a graduate teaching position, great addition to a resume, and for a letter of recommendation. From my teaching assistant experience, I was able to fully grasp the concepts of middle childhood development, form a new appreciation for professors and teaching assistants, and reflect on myself as a student. In addition, I had the opportunity to strengthen several essential skills such as organizational skills, leadership skills, and communication
