PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS To be successful in today’s modern world. It is essential for one to identify his or her strengths & weakness including opportunities & threats that are presented by knowing these four aspects, its possible to use them for our advantage. If person knows his or her strength & opportunities they will know where to tread with confidence as well as security. My weaknesses are my over-commitment to my ways. I am open minded person, however when I follow or do something, I always believe to be best & gain momentum & at that time I unable to change my directions & become fixed to my goal. As over-commitment may not seem is always an obvious weakness. It can create many hindrances if a mistake is made because at that time its very difficult for me to change my goal or work in which I engaged. While some commitment is good, too which can be a problem. I believe I can improve upon this weakness by prioritizing my tasks. Weakness is something that I must deal in one way. If I can’t work to improve them, I can try to avoid them. I thing that it’s best to be aware of personal weaknesses. This statement is very true; I am a very motivated individual, and I am always trying to better myself. I am a person that does not focus on my strengths, but on my weaknesses that I need to improve.
No one person is the same as another, we all interact, behave, think and feel differently, and I think this is what amazes me the most. One strength that is substantive to my career that I believe I have, is empathy. I have always had such an efficacious sense of empathy with the people around me.
After knowing what my weaknesses are, I usually try to solve them and improve my skills. For example, I’m not a highly flexible and positive person, so I seek out to individuals who are flexible and positive in their lives and ask for their advice. Another strength that I have is that I usually have a positive outlook of my improvement, because I have seen examples of those who overcome their hardships and become successful in life, so I believe that if I try hard enough, I will be able to overcome my weaknesses. I’m also confident with my listening skills and my ability to focus on others and make them feel heard. I like to start on works and projects early so that if anything comes up, I will still have time to handle it.
To begin with, my top strength is positivity. According to Rath, “ You are generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in the situation” (Rath p141). I believe it is always important to be positive regardless of how bad a situation is. My job is to motivate others when they become pessimistic of a certain task. This strength is essential in both school and a career as neither a classmate or a co-worker wants to surround him or herself with negativity that makes for a long day.
What are your two strengths and what is your weakness? My two greatest strengths are my communication and problem solving skills. I excel at understanding customer needs and motivations, and using this insight to tailor selling points, to understand potential obstacles, and to devise effective solutions. Another strength as a writer is i 'm good at ending my conclusions, restating my main point, and connecting my paper to my own life experience. As a writer when i 'm typing i look for little mistakes i may be missing such as periods, apostrophe and commas. My weaknesses as a writer is i but too many ideas that isn 't needed in my paper. I go off track and put things that aren 't related with what i 'm writing or trying to prove. This is one of my common errors.
Strengths and Weaknesses My three major strengths are medication administration, communication with patients, and asking questions when I do not fully understand something. I feel like throughout my preceptorship these have grown stronger, and have helped me to be successful.
