Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I hope by attending college, I make a good living, and succeed in my future career. Texas Tech University, home of the Red Raiders, it’s ranked as one of the best colleges among national universities and will prepare me to learn more about the medical field. Texas Tech is located in Lubbock, Texas where the population is more than 249,042. The address is 2500 Broadway. The requirement to get into Tech, is an average GPA of 3.42. An average SAT score of 9631, but on the new SAT score is 1180. Tech offers scholarships to the top 25% of their class and those 27% on the ACT score. The application fee form is 75 dollars. Academic achievements will help with loans, and scholarships (Texas Tech) The expenses in this college. The tuition is 5,277dollars plus other fees 2,751. Housing cost on campus room and board is provided by the school at a cost of 8,928 dollar per academic year if students decide to live off campus they need to budget about the same amount. RNs are required to complete at least 2 years of formal education and obtain a state license in order to work in a nursing capacity. Most of the RNs earn associate degrees or bachelor’s degrees in nursing. Nurses may work in hospitals, home health care clinics, private physicians’ offices, nursing care facilities and Gov. Hospitals or urgent care nurses may be required to work evenings, weekends, holiday shifts, since most facilities of that type are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. People in the medical field get to work with people and they get to make people happier and also help them directly.
