My top interest at school is The Academy of Health Professions. This rigorous program gives classroom instructions, hands on laboratory, and clinical experience. As a class of 17 students, we volunteer at the local clinical to get experience as Certified Nursing Assistants. Every other class, I take the role of an adult for 2 hours and become a CNA. I provide my patients with oral care, bathing, feeding, and changing linen. It is in my best interest to give my patients the best care and make them feel satisfied. I am also in a career oriented organization called SkillsUSA, where students can volunteer in several events to provide community service and leadership skills. One of my favorite clubs would be Student to Student. As an officer, I
When I picture myself, I have faced many challenges in my life and realized how much i’ve grown and changed from them, just in the last year. The most important challenge that I am proud of myself for accomplishing is becoming a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). Obtaining this certificate was a huge step in my life from childhood to adulthood. I became an LNA because my mother encouraged me to since she knew I always wanted to be a nurse ever since I was a child and I love helping other people out.
Throughout my high school career, I was in three honorary clubs, which were Spanish Honor Society, Florida Future Educators of America, and Key club. Without including the honorary societies I was in five other clubs; Peace Insight, Diabetes awareness, Interact club, Here to Help, and Wolv Pak. I was a member of Wolv Pak from my sophomore year to my senior year. In Wolv Pak, we would cheer the football team every Friday night, and assist in a portion of the pep rallies. I was also a part of Here to Help from my sophomore to my senior year.
SC4 Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, parents and other staff. Throughout my teaching career, I have consciously developed a positive rapport with students, colleagues and parents in the interests of promoting mutual respect. I attend, and actively participate in staff meetings, sharing my ideas and listening attentively to others’ contributions. I also enjoy participating in pastoral care duties, and willingly involve myself in discussions relating to pastoral care aspects of the school.

Later on with in my junior year I was in Medical Terminology and this class has opened my mind to many more medical careers. Seeing the many options in the medical field I realized that I want to pursue a profession in the medical field. My senior year i joined an Emergency Medical Technician class. With this class I see how traumatic and non traumatic
Time feels accelerated when I see my grandparents as though I am seeing them in a time-lapsed movie. Aside from the additional wrinkles, slower movement, and frailty that comes with aging, observing them, I have come to realize that life is short, perhaps too short. They have lived in my house throughout my life, and being close with them from a young age has given way to listening to many important life lessons, sometimes wanting to listen willfully and other times forcing myself to do so. One thing I have come to understand is that the advice and experiences of one’s elders serves an important function, to impart wisdom. They recommended to me to pursue my passions, so during my college career, I became involved in the Pre-health Professions
I wanted to help people, and it made it ten times better that I loved the work as well. I went on to take Health Science II my sophomore year which also earned me the CTE Scholar award, along with some of my classmates. After that year with Mrs. Pelz I took an advanced class called Nursing Fundamentals. This was an even better year, we went to nursing homes and performed CNA work and to the hospital to work with actual nurses. In this class I studied hard and got my CNA.
“It 's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” Those wise words come from the one and only, Mother Teresa. Her quote comes to mind when I think of the career Certified Nursing Assistant. Another is “It takes a special person to do what you do, I don 't know if I could handle it”.
I have always wanted to be a surgeon since I was a kid. Doctors were treated like gods in my home country, Ethiopia. I was a shy little boy who dreamt big in my neighborhood and people would make fun of my goal due to the fact that there were no doctors in our neighborhood. They believed that I was not smart and strong enough to be a doctor. Besides my mother and aunt, nobody knew what I was capable of.
Not only do these clubs recognize academic excellence, they also provide many opportunities for community service. Blood drives, food drives and Operation Christmas Child are only a few of the projects that we participate in throughout the year. I am
I want to earn my way up to a good university and earn my degree, apply to an outstanding dental school and start my long years of residency that lie before me. One of my goals in the future is to help others in need for medical attention. It makes me happy when I see others happy. I want to give back to my community and help others so I can earn the respect that I’ve always wanted.
Working in different settings and meeting new people that need to be taken care of has always interested me. The job I want to have while I go to college is the very challenging role of a Medical Assistant. Due to the experiences that have happened in my life, I believe that becoming a medical assistant is the best career choice for me. There are many duties and responsibilities I will have as a medical assistant.
I am passionate in nursing and helping the community is something I love. I do partake in a lot of extracurricular activities. Currently, I volunteer at the Hartford Hospital as a Patient Safety Associate Assistant, and this gives me the opportunity to community with patients face-to-face. Putting a smile on anyone’s face is something I would love to do every
Pediatrics My passion for pediatrics grew as I began to volunteer at Children 's Hospital Los Angeles. I was the oldest of six girls and so, I was always the one who took
