In a time so dark, where people who want to improve their own being by thinking for themselves, are eventually apprehended and killed. He especially uses rhetorical devices with Beatty as he uses them to try and get his message through to Montag. In this novel, Ray Bradbury introduced modernity, which means the condition of being modern. Due to Bradbury’s introduction of modernity, there were two ways to interpret Fahrenheit 451. One way was for modernity to be abolished and another way was for modernity to still be included throughout life.

When I first began reading Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, I thought that it would be the same story as other dystopian pieces of literature; however, after further analyzing the novel I found that Bradbury used many allusions from famous pieces of literature.
