It is my Senior year, and I have accomplished a few great things so far. I have been in Honors math courses since Freshman year; I took an AP course and I got a three on the exam, which will be enough to earn college credits at some colleges I am looking at. I also got invited to National Honor Society last year, and I am in it this year as well. I have a lot of things I want to accomplish before the end of my last year at Old Orchard Beach High School and hopefully during this quarter. For the first quarter, I want to find a job. I know it would be really challenging to have a job during Senior year. I had a summer job at a motel, but I need something year-round now. The year has been a little bit challenging, and the challenge is only going to get greater. I will be working to get my Nursing Assistant certification at Biddeford Regional Center of Technology. If I was to get that, I would have a job before I got out of high school that would pay me around $30,000 a year. Since I mentioned it in the last paragraph, my main goal for this year is to get CNA certified and have a job at a hospital or nursing home before I graduate. Don’t get me wrong, I want to get good grades in all of my classes, but I still count this …show more content…
In Honors calculus, I would get 3 credits for Calculus and in Intro to Medical Sciences, I would get 3 credits in Medical Terminology. The Medical Terminology course just requires some extra vocabulary in each unit and getting a C or better in the class over the whole year; the course is also free, so that is about $1,000 I would be saving. The Calculus course requires a C or better for the whole year and a fee of $75. I would say $75 is better than $1,000; in addition, I find Mrs. Conley’s teaching helpful and understanding and I might not feel that way about the college professor I could
P1 Explain the issues organisations must consider when planning computer systems maintenance The issues that organisations must consider when planning a computer system are as follow; Employee and Employer Responsibilities - It is the Cortex’s’ responsibility to make sure the employee is allowed to have scheduled breaks when they require them. As part of their contract they also have to provide the employee with the correct ergonomic equipment so they can do their job and work efficiently, this means that the employee is more effective and reliable when working from their desk as they have the correct equipment. Employees also have a responsibility this is making sure they use the business network entirely for work related purposes and not for downloading anything that infringes the contractual agreement they have in place this is known as the Acceptable Usage Policy. Cortex is also protected by the Computer Misuse Act.
“This we’ll defend”: This is the motto of the United States Army, as well as the 3rd Infantry Regiment, also known as the “Old Guard.” These are the sentinels who guard the tombs of three unknown soldiers: One never identified from the First World War; another that never found his family from World War Two; and another shot down and never recognized in Korea. Laying a wreath on the tomb of these three unknown soldiers is considered synonymous as laying a wreath on every unknown and unidentified soldier and one of the highest honors for a United States citizen.
Chicago is known throughout the United States as having one of the worst public school systems in the country. Although I attend a private school, each day that I sit in my English class, I have a clear view through the windows of the public school across the street, where other students my age who are equally as talented and intelligent as I am are in overcrowded classrooms without the resources and opportunities that I have. At Ignatius, I have had the chance to travel around the world and join exciting clubs. I have also been able to work with teachers who have the time to meet with me individually and be in an environment where everyone is genuinely excited to learn. Ignatius is surrounded by public housing buildings and run down schools and when I look through the window at the other school, it reminds me that others are not as lucky as I am.
The reason my senior year means so much to me is because throughout my journey I experienced so many things that slowly shaped me as not only a student but as a person. “With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, You’re too smart to go down any not so good street.” Dr. Seuss. With my head full and my feet snugly fit into some beat up Converse, I walked myself into the wrong crowd and some crappy situations. After the cloud of adrenaline drifted out of my sights I realized that I was too smart to be in the situation I put myself in.
In the next few minutes I will show you the problems that educators and children, in the public school system, face because of the traditional, but out-dated calendar. I will then introduce you to some of the aspects of year-round school and show you how it is a better alternative than the current nine month calendar. There are, as I see it, 4 key issues that illustrate why the nine-month calendar is a problem. First, it is a 100-year-old system that was implemented to accommodate an agrarian society.
There hasn’t been some an event that I consider special but I’ll hope that will change in the last 2 years of high school. However, 3 eventful things have happened like in the last school year I met Maria Camila Rodriguez but out of kindness we call her “The Rich Girl.” A party for my fifteenth birthday was celebrated in the ninth grade as well and my newest friend is Leah Duboy, a new student at the school. Whom, I hope make memories with.
CNA Certification I was really looking forward to getting my job at Winner Regional Long Term Care. This was the summer after my freshmen year and I had just turned 16. My mom and my friend Mollie really made me believe I would have a lot of fun while helping people.
As graduation gets closer, I start to think more about my future. The results from one of my assessments on Nebraska Career Connections opened a new door into the health science field. I discovered the career of a nurse anesthetist, and am ready to pursue this option. A nurse anesthetist communicates with a patient before surgery and records any medical history or symptoms they have. Anesthetists also observe the patients and perform physical exams.
Did you know that kids are failing school? In this case schools are thinking about making it school calendar 12 months instead of 10. Think about this are you one of those kids who struggles in school even with extra help given to you? Well forget about that, all year school would help, it will give you more help and time to review things, and the extra curriculum would give people better grades along with the grades that you already have.
US Students Vs. International Students in Social Life Cathy Small known as her pen name under Rebekah Nathan is a professor and a graduate coordinator of anthropology at Northern Arizona University. What would you do if there was no summer break? Most people would be very sad because summer break is a time when kids get off from school. They get a break because it was thought, back in the 1800’s that having school all year long would damage the student 's health, so they decided to take a break in the summer season. Many kids loved the idea and think summer break is the best to this day on. Summer break is the best because there is no school, you can go on vacation, and you can spend time with your friends and family.
I have changed in many ways such as my attitude for school, and also my friends. My attitude for school has changed tremendously, I turn in all my assignments on time and make sure I have a good attitude towards my teachers and school work. I try not to hang around with people that will make me feel or look bad. I try my best to stay out of trouble and to follow what I have learned from my parents. Sometimes I slack off and do stupid things like talk back to a teacher and get myself into trouble.
At the beginning of my senior year summer, I was extremely excited of finally becoming a senior. It 's what I 've always wanted since I first stepped on to Manzano. I 've been anticipating the day that I graduate with all my best friends, and the day I become the first in my family to ever graduate high school. To this day I still get nervous just thinking about it.
I’m a very open-minded, patient and, caring person, but I might not be this person today if it wasn’t for music, acting, and band. These are the perfect three that define me, and who I am today. The rule of three is the principle where everything in threes is perfect. They are books and slogans on the matter; “The Three little Pigs”, and The Three Musketeers. They all fit together in some way and have one common goal.
Hard work triumphs over talent; I learned this in eleventh grade. I struggled to pass my mathematics class; I averaged a C- in basically every math class I took. I believed that I would always struggle in math; I saw no light at the end of my tunnel for my peril. I was adamant about not taking calculus, because I believed that I would fail that class. I refused to sign up for that class, but after many circumstances, I finally enrolled in calculus, just one month late.
