On 07-24-2016, Sergeant Koch and I responded to 7520 December Drive, reference a burglary that occurred on 06-24-2016. I have been trying to make contact with the suspect, Tyler Gray, for the last two weeks with negative results. I previously responded to Gray 's residence and made contact with Gray 's father, William Gray. I have left William my business card with instructions to contact with me. Upon arrival, Sergeant Koch and I made contact with, William Gray. However, It took several minutes for William to open the front door. Furthermore, Sergeant Koch and I could hear two voices coming from inside of the residence for several minutes prior to William opening the door. William opened the door and Sergeant Koch asked if Tyler was home. William hesitated but then shouted "Tyler." Gray responded to the front door and was asked if we could speak to him. Gray willingly agreed and proceeded to the roadway with Sergeant Koch and I. I …show more content…
Gray denied being inside of the residence and he advised me that he "preformed work for the victim on the outside of the residence only." However, as the interview progressed Gray states that both him and the victim were on the computer looking up air soft pistols. The computer was located next to the safe in the living room. I then took the finger print cards and placed them in front of Gray. I never advised Gray that the prints were his, nor did I advise who 's they were or where they were from. Gay became upset and started to cry while continuing to deny any involvement in the burglary. Shortly after Gray stated "This interview is done." Gray then exits the interview room. While exiting, Gray is observed by Sergeant Koch placing his tee-shirt over his hand to open the door handle. Furthermore, dispatch also observed Gray opening the door leading to the lobby of the P.D. with his tee-shirt over his hand. In both situations it seems that Gray is trying to not leave his fingerprint. Gray and William then leave the police
Four of six witnesses reported that they either saw the incident or heard it from where they were at during that time. Only one witness describes the incident as Mr. Taylor throwing a “baby fit,” the others all say they heard the wall locker door being slammed. Only one witness believes he heard an exchange between Mr. Taylor and Ms. Punzo. He couldn’t recall the exact conversation but he believes Mr. Taylor might have made comments about needing room for his gear and that Ms. Punzo might have been raising her voice. Mr. Taylor openly admitted that an incident occurred; however, he provided context behind the incident.
Officer Raney asked Henderson “Can I just quickly check where you’re seated to make sure you’re okay?” The search in the car lasted several minutes when Officer Raney stated that he was only going to search “quickly.” Henderson complied, knowing that Officer Raney was going to search “quickly” in the car. The length of search became an issue in Cantor, when Officer Weizoerick requested for a “real quick” “check” of Cantor’s car. After Cantor gave consent to have his car searched, Officer Weizoerick proceeded to search in the car for almost 15 minutes.
Later that very same day at around 7:00 p.m. scales returned home where he was subsequently arrested. his route to the Minneapolis Police Department homicide unit where two investigators questioned him after they gave him Miranda warnings. The caller, Paul Whalen, stated that his brother just called someone to sell and drop off prescription medication. Your affiant arrived at 208 East mount Vernon Street and briefly spoke with Paul. Still, the trial went on. Another key witness for Janice 's defense was the Sheriff 's office. Law enforcement had even failed to give the sheriff 's office a courtesy call stating that they were coming. The local authorities were sure if Janice Green had known it was the police she would have turned herself in without a problem.
Sheriff Mapes is shown as conflicted when he gets shot. Although he is the sheriff, he does not know what to do. Instead of calling for back up or taking charge of the situation, he just sits there. Mapes tells Lou to “leave him alone,” (Gaines 201), even though he is the sheriff and the situation is completely out of hand. Mapes also puts Lou in charge; again, showing how Mapes is unclear of what should be done.
Scientific experts have been considered to provide impartial scientific evidence in contrast to most other types of evidence. But as illustrated by several examples like the misidentification of Brandon Mayfield in the Madrid Bomber case, it has been demonstrated that the forensic experts can be influenced by contextual bias. (Kassin, Dror & Kukucka, 2013) In Goodwin’s case there are several sources of error that due to a confirmation bias. The examiners were pre-armed with contextual information, they were aware that the target fingerprint belonged to an individual on the MI5 watch list, leading them to be suspicious of their target.

The officer steps out of his car with with his gun drawn. He approaches your car and you ask the question did I do something wrong officer? He never answers your question. This was a monstrous decision to make because telling the cop about them would mean that the Erik Fisher Football Dream would be terminated. In addition, it would also mean that Paul is risking Erik and Arthur going to jail. “‘I saw--I heard Erik Fisher tell him to do it.’ The heads in the crowd all turned together toward Erik. Sergeant Rojas pointed one finger at him and ordered, ‘You- get over here’” (284).
At approximately 10:30 a.m., I Detective L. Donegain contacted Shyheim White in the parking lot of the Speedway Gas Station.
