My draft is about an argument. My argument is about how celebrities get paid way more than people in the army, navy, etc. I have people’s opinions and professionals. My first paragraph is celebrities get paid too much money. My second paragraph is about people in the military, navy, etc are getting paid less. My last paragraph are people’s opinions and professionals quotes about it. Celebrities get paid way too much money. They should at least use their money for a good cause. They should give some of their money to people who are risking their lives and fighting for our country for us. Some use their money for completely wrong things. The reason they are getting paid so much is because people like to watch them in movies and people like the way they “act”. My point is that they should stop getting paid too much. People risking their lives for us should get paid more money. They are fighting for our freedom. Some of them lose their life fighting for our country. They …show more content…
Abigail replied: Yes. Should we pay more taxes for people in the military? Elisa replied: yes, celebrities already got too much money, why would they need more. It sucks that they get paid so lowly even though they risk their lives to protect their country. How much money do you think celebrities and people in the military should get paid? Sarah replied: celebs should get about 29,000,000 because they need it to entertain others and get the makeup and clothes they need, and military should get about 5,000,000 idk why but it sound right for some reason. The Bleacher Report states that they absolutely don’t think that celebrities should get more money than people in the Army, Navy, etc. The Qora website thinks that military people should get paid more than celebrities. Here is their response, “Yes, I think that they should get paid more money than celebrities. Those who argue that athletes, musicians, and Hollywood actors are
College athletes deserve to be paid because they are the only ones not being paid in the college sports industry. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) generates eleven billion dollars annually, some of which could, and should go to college athletes. “USA Today reported last year just how much money the top 10 coaches in college football made. Nick Saban from Alabama topped the list earning roughly $5.5 million in 2013 alone” (Seibold). The coaches are making millions of dollars and the players aren’t.
On this issue, X and Y say veterans volunteered to serve and they got paid for what they did. Although I understand and to some degree sympathize with the point of view some Americans have, this is ultimately a question of loyalty. What’s at stake is not money but the lives of those who have already risked their lives. Therefore, we must take care of them , afterall they took care of us.
Thesis 1: Charlton Heston is directly responsible for the large amount of gun ownership in America and is thus responsible for the large amount of gun related violence in America. If he stopped his rallying then gun violence would drop. Response: I disagree with this statement because Charlton Heston only promotes legal ownership of guns, and he does not support any form of violence and only encourages guns be used for self defence.
Soldiers should be paid more than athletes. Soldiers are the reason why we are safe because they protect us. Any person that fights for our country should get paid more than athletes . Soldiers get paid 1,531.50 dollars a month people with more experience the higher their pay increases . But athletes make 491 million dollars each season.
Many of these celebrities have created a toxic environment that builds peer pressure in society. As seen with advertisements and body shaming that celebrities do whether it 's meant or not people are being influenced by this. Individuals have a growing amount of peer pressure to follow celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and follow their trends due to the poisoning of pure pressure. People may not fit in if they don’t follow to the status quo which has the potential to lead to a ruined society. Individuals are wasting time on entertainment while they can be doing more productive things.
The ones that become professional athletes have worked from a young age and put in thousands of hours practicing which goes along with the old saying “Time Is Money”. These players sacrifice their bodies and spend hours in rehab or taking pain medication because of it. That kind of strenuous activity all the time puts strain on your body and athletes pay for that in the future. Athletes also lose most of their privacy due to the media. Athletes have to do countless numbers of interviews to keep the people happy.
When people hear about if college athletes should get paid they would say no because they think the athletes would get paid millions of dollars. It is not like that, college athletes would not be paid that high they would only need to be paid so they can live a decent life. They have to balance their lives with school and their sports. College athletes should get paid because The NCCA is billion dollar business and the athletes don’t get any money, athletes spend more hours working for the sport than the average American, it helps athletes manage their money.
I can admit that they might get paid a little too much but it is because they risk their lives for our entertainment of others and they risk their injury. It is very important because there was a player who shattered their bones and their whole face. You may think now that it might be a good idea to get paid more money because of the way they risk their whole life playing sports
I have heard that pro sports players get paid more than soldiers that go and risk their lives for ours. What I want to know is why is the government paying the pro sports players more than the people that risk there lives for our country? One reason that the government should pay more the soldiers than the pro sports players is that the soldiers go and risk their lives on the ocean, air, and land. While soldiers are doing this pro sports players are playing on the land and in the water. For some reason people that are wearing helmets that are fighting for a ball get more money than a man wearing a helmet fighting for our freedom and rights every day and every week.
said that “I think that we should get paid more personally”. I can somewhat agree with this because if they get injured seriously there career could end and that would mean that they are out of a job and might not be able to do other jobs because of that injury. Also they are harder to replace since they are better than others. Your not always going to be able to find someone that is just as good or can do what they did.
Professional athletes get paid an excessive amount of money to play a sport and contribute small things. These sports aren’t even played for that long during the year. These athletes shouldn’t get paid millions to play a game while people are getting paid nowhere near that and are working a harder job. “Playing games for a living isn't worth those million-dollar
People know that doctors and firefighters save lives, while athletes play a game to make money. Even teachers pay isn’t anywhere near to athletes; they educate the generation’s youth so they can make a difference in the future. So many jobs that are very important don’t get paid as much and that money can go towards better causes. But these are only some of the reasons that pro athletes get paid too much.
For instance, Shaq is in the new icy hot back pain reliever. Pro athletes also get big businesses to sponsor and commercialize their products. Critics argue that in today's society one should be paid according to the job’s economic importance and their value to society. However many government jobs don't make as much as they deserve. Furthermore critics argue that athletes should not be making more that the President of the United States - the one who leads the free world!
Are actors and professional athletes overpaid? The film industry and professional sports are regarded to be the most profitable business sector in the present scenario. The professional artists and film actors earn millions of dollars due to their talent.many people might have had a dream to be popular and earn more like they do. Despite the fact that their profession is not an easy job that could be done by common people, they are more prone to criticism resulting from their overpaid work. However, the perception on whether the professional artists and actors are overpaid or not is still a matter of concern of a majority of people.
While the athletes just show entertainment to fans. Don 't get me wrong, but paying an athlete $13.5 million for a single year is just really doing the most. There are doctors who are probably saving lives right now that will probably never make that much. Some might say that these pro athletes have spent most of their childhood playing sports, but hasn’t everyone played like one type of game or sport once in their life? I’m not trying to say that I don’t think that they should not get paid at all, but they shouldn’t be getting paid that much.
