Steve Jobs is still the world’s greatest corporate storyteller. The iPhone presentation unleashed a wave of enthusiasm towards Apple that they are still riding today. Here are listed the techniques used.
First, constant interrogations helped the audience’s understanding and cached their attention. He uses rhetorical questions like “Want to see that again?” or “Pretty cool, huh?” In order to engage the audience What Steve Jobs wants is not an answer to these rhetorical questions but to incite thought and understanding of the audience, by playing with their emotions.
I’ve noticed that he uses the repetition of words to cause a dramatic effect, for example, “We are gonna use the best pointing device in the world” and “We are gonna use a pointing device we are all born with” etc. Furthermore, in a point of the presentation he begins a lot of phrases with the same word. In this case “Watch…, they become….” like “Watch your thoughts, they become words” etc. He also repeats words at the end of phrases, “the people” etc.
He uses asyndeton (elimination of conjunctions of phrases to create emphasis), “We are gonna sync all media onto your iPhone: your music, your audio books, podcasts, movies, TV shows, music videos” The result of this is a passionate effect. Making Steve Jobs seem as a more powerful speaker.
However, then he uses polysyndeton (opposite technique). It consists in the repetition of conjunctions. “It’s got everything from Cocoa and the graphics and it’s got core

In our English 12 class, we have to do a rhetorical analysis of the Steve Jobs commencement speech that he delivered to the Stanford Graduating students of class 2005. In this analysis essay, we have to look for the strategies that the author used in his text to make his audience understand his claim that he made in his speech. Moreover, we did the SOAPSTone and the close read of the article to have a better understanding of the text. Consequently, we look for the ethos, pathos, logos, and literary devices that the author used to prove his point. I learned a lot through this assignment.
Charges were filed yesterday by the Animal Defense League against a merchant by the name of Bob Jones who owns a local farm- and his stablehand. Being one with many opinions I find myself at odds with how to feel about Donald Trump. On one hand he is a pompous ass and on the other I find my own philosophy being tested as I respect everyone’s right to have opinion. In some cases I may even agree with what Donald is saying but his delivery method mostly comes off as sexist and racist, which is not what I think he means to say but that is how it is received. I bring up Donald as he owns most political news headlines as all the programs key in on him.
I apologize for not being able to contact you sooner. When we returned to Clemson on December 4, Sayuri’s parents wished to keep her in Los Angeles. We were not able to convince her parents to let Sayuri return to Clemson even though we repeatedly emphasized that Clemson is a better place for raising children. Thus, I would like to officially withdraw Sayuri from Clemson Elementary School.
Have you ever heard of a man named Donald Trump? Well, I have. Actually I researched some facts about him, like his education, background, and his success. He has a wife and five other children. He must have a interesting life.

love Steve Austin. I instantly took a liking to him when I first saw him perform back in the old USWA in 1990. It's hard to describe what that intangible is that makes one a superstar, but whatever it is, Austin had "it". Fast forward to the end of 1995. World Championship Wrestling, more specifically Eric Bischoff, had a different opinion and decided to release him.
McConaughey uses organization throughout his entire speech to ensure that his message was clearly understood by the audience. He begins
