As we read “A Lifetime of Student Debt? Not Likely” we learn that the title is correct if student loans are used wisely. Many don’t pay attention to the debt they are building. Whether it is important for them to go to a certain school, or to always be partying, students will quickly use all the money they have. For some reason, when they find out how much they owe, they are shocked. Debt can and will quickly add up, however if you are using it for the right reasons, you will prosper from the amount of money borrowed. The biggest concern that people have towards student-loan debt is that what it shows about the affordability of college educations. Students are afraid to go to college if they don’t have the money, because of they don’t want to be in debt from student loans. Loans are a real fear that college students try to avoid. If students could learn to borrow a reasonable amount that they know they could pay back, it wouldn’t be as big of an issue. If I had the power to make a change, I would cut the costs of college education and lower student debt by a reformed banking system.
