It’s been a while after Ramo has died and Karana is getting antsy, wondering when the Aleuts are going to come back for her, if ever. Tired of waiting around, nit doing anything, Karana decides to set off for the mainland on her own. She begins to fix up one of the smaller canoes that had been left on the island and store enough food & water for her journey. Karana has been out on the sea, heading for the mainland, for less than a day, when she realizes the the canoe she is taking won’t be able to take her where she needs to be without killing her.

Another fact about them is that they can go in the water and out of the water. Also they have very flexible body so they can go threw the tree branches under the water.
In my opinion, I believe that marine mammals should not be held in captivity for many reasons. To start, they are taking away the animals from their natural habitat. Secondly, captivity causes both major and minor health problems. Another significant reason is that the poor marine creatures do not have enough space to swim resulting in severe boredom and causing them to do harm to themselves Captivity causes many health problems for the innocent marine mammals. There was an incident when Six of Marineland 's seals were blinded, or got serious eye problems because of the unclean water.
