I believe that each and every child is unique in their own way. Who needs a secure and caring environment in which they can grow and mature emotionally, cognitively, physically, and socially. That’s why for me it’s important to help the students meet their full potential in this areas by providing an environment that is safe and also a place where they are able to share their ideas with each other and to let them explore their curiosity because after all that’s how they learn. As a teacher I feel that we should motivate our students to become the best that they can be by incorporating in our curriculum the many theories that we have learn in this class so that we can help them achieve their full potential. Since not all students learn the same …show more content…
They take what they have learned and apply that in their everyday life so we want to set good examples. A good teacher will always teach them what’s good for them because that’s what they want for them. I know that being a teacher can be a hassle with full of challenges, frustrations, and responsibilities and at times you don’t even want to be in the classroom. I have seen this many times and I have heard teacher say “thank god this is my last week” in my head I am like why are you a teacher if you’re always complaining and you always have a bored face every time you walk through that door. I am talking about Headstart and I think majority of the problems is that the program is lacking and their teachers are deciding to quit because they are overwork, are given to much kids for one teacher and other teachers don’t want to help them because they want to leave early. Therefore, I think me as a teacher I want to be able to find a school that will provide support for other teachers, and a place where we can all work …show more content…
I believe that everyone is capable of learning if they put their mind on it and of course if they are being motivated. Motivation that you can get by doing observations on the child. By observing a child, a teacher can make a proper curriculum that will focus on the child’s strengths and weaknesses. Of course if the child needs extra help with learning the ABC’S the teacher has to incorporate or make an activity that will help the child with his ABC’S. Also observations can be important because they not only tell you how far a child is cognitively but also physically. Physically as if the child is not doing the things he supposed to be doing in his age range. So if the child is behind the age range then that means he needs to see a specialist. As a teacher doing these observations are helpful because it lets us know how far they are, if they have a special need, why the child has certain tempers and what can we do to help the child. After all, as a teacher what is important is to help the child. From my many observations I have learned that classroom climate is important to a child as well as for parents. As a teacher a clean, well organize, classroom with adequate books, materials and plenty of space for kids to play is important for their learning but it also shows that the teacher cares about her students learning, well-being and an environment. I want to establish a
Some students may have special needs, dyslexia, ADHD, tourettes, or autism. This will all hold a child back from learning on pace. According to ‘Dyslexia.yale’ around 20% of learners have dyslexia. Learning defects some children may have could take a teacher a longer time to explain, extra practice and overall, it requires patience. Some adults do not have that with children.
Personal Philosophy I believe that each child is unique and learn by exploring through play. Children as they grow they learn more from one another. I believe all children learn at different pace and they’re all different. All programs should adapt to the needs of the children.
I believe that all children are individuals, unique in their abilities, from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures, and they also have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. Educators are observers and designers who have to observe children’s abilities, interests and learning styles for designing a curriculum that fulfill everyone’s needs. Observers also play an important role on noticing individual differences and offering help to children who have lower ability to improve
Throughout this course we learnt and discussed many different philosophies, theories and concepts that we as teacher may use in our classrooms. As a teacher, children depend on us to help them succeed in their learning environment. Teacher’s will not all choose to all teach from the same philosophy or theory approach; whatever we decide to use within the classroom, the main focus should be on the child’s abilities to learn. Children all learn in their own time and in their own way. It is up to the teacher to maximize each child’s individual potential.
Spending late nights grading, dealing with parents, a teacher’s salary isn’t sufficient for the broad job descriptions they are responsible to meet. Although it takes someone with a loving heart to be a teacher, they are suppose to teach what will become of the future. Therefore wouldn’t they have the most important job? In addition to be a successful teacher, first teachers have to go school themselves. Moreover after comparing South Texas College, Texas State University and University of Rio Grande Valley based on my criteria of tuition cost, location, and strength of program, University of Rio Grande Valley would be my best choice in helping me pursue a career in interdisciplinary studies.
When children are little they always have dreams of what they want to be when they grow up. Some kids want to be ballerinas, firemen, and astronauts. for as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be a teacher. The areas I wanted to teach have always deferred over the years, but my love for teaching has always stayed the same. I remember when I was younger, I would force my siblings to play teacher with me.
I am a laid back individual and believe that this portion of my character will be implemented a great deal in my teaching. Additionally, because I want my students to start becoming self-advocates for both their learning and needs, I plan to offer them the freedom to succeed and fail on their own. Once a student takes this step, together we can evaluate the situation and decisions they made, how to change the outcome, and their power in the decisions. Even though I will offer my students a lot of freedom, I believe that it is still important to create a structured environment. As a high school teacher, I am preparing my students for the world beyond my classroom.
1. Teaching experience: I started teaching Sunday school when I was fifteen. A year later I became a Kumon teacher and taught children 5-6 years old reading and math. I have more experience teaching children in their early years. Currently, I am a preschool teaching assistant in Stamford, CT.
I believe the goal of teaching is to treat each student fair and provide all students with the same learning goal along with differentiate strategies to support students of diversity and disabilities. My learning goals would be fair and equitable and constructed to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. As a teacher I will also motivate and encourage my future students to do their best. As a former track coach I am familiar with the importance to motivate and encourage your students to do their best. I believe students learn best when they are motivated and encouraged in and out of the classroom.
For the three and a half years I’ve been in high school, I have heard many opinions about teacher. Some being suggestions to a underclassman, review of the teacher, and some being very detail rants about a teacher. After hearing about those teacher, I wonder if a student should be allowed to give a grade to a teacher. I think that students giving rating or grades to a teacher is a good thing for many reasons. One of these things include, helping parents with young kids find schools with good teachers.
Using a textbook to its best advantage seems to be overlooked when we prepare for teaching. I believe there is a place for textbooks, facts, and even lectures in different subjects or level of students. I have noticed that many really don't know what to do with a textbook. They have learned a great deal about cooperative learning, using technology in the classroom, and designing rubrics. While those are good things to know, some traditional classroom techniques are also important.
When being a teacher you’re going to run into problems and situations that might be difficult. Some traits of a fantastic teacher is patient, friendly, engaged, and funny. Being patient is a key part in teaching. No student is the same, some might take a little bit longer to grasp something compared to the other students who are speedy quick to grasp the lesson. Also when having a teaching job you’re going to run into a lot of unplanned chaos, so you will need to be patient and calm so you can avoid any mental illnesses.
Teachers have always been a massive impact in my life. I was brought to this country at such a young and had no prior knowledge of English. So, I have a strong appreciation to those teachers/mentors that had the immense patience with my family and I. I would like to repay those who were a part of my education learning experience. I believe that I have much potential in the Education field specifically here in Arizona due to it being a bilingual area. As a result, I would like to work with students in general no matter where they fall in the General Education spectrum, but preferably 1st through 3rd grade would be ideal.
but they don’t realize what it takes teaching until they learn that in the job. I believe that school leaders should build a system that respects that time. We have seen some teachers with a master degree and
Teaching has always been one of the few jobs we knew about as kids. Unlike everyone else I still I want to be a teacher. Not only do I love helping people, but I also love the feeling you get when you teach someone what it is or how it works. The main reasons why I want to teach elementary kids is because I like kids, I want to teach multiple subjects, and it’s something different every day. Everyone has different reasons for wanting to teach, but the main one for me is because I like kids.
