The CanadArm is one of Canada's most famous and greatest robotic and technological achievement. The CanadArm made its debut on the Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-2) on November 13, 1981. The CanadArm served the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for approximately 30 years. During its career with NASA’s Space Shuttle Program, the robotic arm deployed, captured and repaired satellites, positioned astronauts, maintained equipment, and moved cargo. It figuratively put Canada on the map as a world power. Canada has always had a positive reputation in the global community. This can be credited to the past World Wars. At that time, Canada was shown to be a respectable nation and a formidable ally. However, after the CanadArm, Canada was also considered to be an intellectual world power, and was known as a revered country in aerospace technology. The CanadArm made it able to easily make massive improvements in space due to its versatility, mobility, and durability. Thanks to the CanadArm, Canada was shown to be one of the most technologically advanced nations on the planet, and many other countries considered Canada to be a great addition to future projects in all of their technological and scientific assignments. Many countries also came to Canada for aid when they needed additional assistance with technological projects because Canada has proven their advancements at that time due to the
Florida plays a big role when coming to the topic of space exploration and discoveries. In Florida, there is the port of Cape Canaveral where there is the NASA base and Kennedy Space Center which factors into and leads to many big discoveries, successful rocket launches, etc. Because of this center, it changes the ways of Floridians through economics, culture, growth, and the life of the citizens here and in this essay, we will learn about all these factors on Floridians, and the country. To begin with, there were three questions given needed to answer and the first of which being, “According to the film, how did NASA and the space program influence Florida's growth, economy and culture?” This can be answered through Part 4 in the “Moonport
Canadians participate in a lot of events but they do not always receive the recognition they need. In the end, this showed that Canadians showed pride and determination in the battle of D-day.
