Introduction
Theodore Roosevelt said, “When you’re at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on.” The Dust Bowl was a very bad time for the United States because it was also during The World’s War and the United States was also already in a bad state with the Great Depression going on. The Dust Bowl was a time of economic hardship because people did not know how to stop the problem, people were losing land, the government did not know how to stop the Dust Bowl.
Dry Conditions
The Dust Bowl was started by farmers growing wheat crops. The reason the dust storms came was because of the wind (Worster, 2017) . The soil was very dry and was cracking from the grass being taken away the grass was holding the earth together. Crops were badly ruined from the dust storms (Worster, 2017). The dust storms were a very bad thing because soldier’s from the war needed food. The farmers thought that they were doing a good thing but then it turned out bad.

Humans could stop the Dust Bowl (Marrin, 2009). Humans could’ve stopped the Dust bowl because it was not a natural disaster it was made by humans. We caused the dust bowl by plowing up all the grass (Marrin, 2009). Becaused the dust bowl by plowing up all the grass and it made the ground dry. Humans were the cause of the dust because they did not try to at least make the soil on there farms wet (Marrin, 2009). The grass was the one thing holding the ground together it didn 't rain and we didn 't really have

Farmers moving to the Great Plains and over farming accounted for a part in the creation of the dust bowl.
One of the main causes of the Dust Bowl was the overgrazed and over planted fields that the farmers performed. Another large cause of the Dust Bowl was the failure of farmers to plant drought resistant crops (17 Interesting Facts). The Dust Bowl caused ecological, economical, and human misery to the United States of America. The extremely high temperatures, poorly practiced agriculture, and erosions of wind generated the Dust Bowl (What Caused The Dust Bowl). Numerous amounts of the dry regions in the south were the locations of the start of innumerable dust storms.

The Dust Bowl was a huge catastrophic event that happened during the Great Depression throughout the United States. In the 1930s there was an extremely long period of drought that happened in the Southern Plains of the United States. Not only did the area suffer severe dust storms that made crops fail throughout the entire region, but it caused the lives of many livestock and people to be taken away. This decade of dryness was known as the Dust Bowl. Although the Dust Bowl only lasted about 10 years, the economic impacts it had lasted for much longer. Some scientists believe it was the worst drought in North America in 300 years.
The Dust Bowl was an economic event that happened in the Great Plains during the Great Depression in the 1930’s. The causes of the Dust Bowl was the dry farming technique, the drought, and high winds. The dry farming technique helped the farmers grow more food in the Great Plains because the land was somewhat dry. The drought made the soil loose, and turn into a powdery substance. The high winds started blowing in 1934, which carried the dirt through the air.
The first cause is the drought. So much land was being harvested on for crops. How this affects the Dust Bowl is since there was little rainfall for four years(Doc E), if soil isn’t watered it turns into dust after a while. A lot of land was being harvested on, and a lot of land with soil that isn’t watered can turn into dust.
The Dust Bowl had impacted farmers and their techniques. The Dust Bowl, also known as the Dirty Thirties, was a period of acute and dangerous dust storms in the midwest that greatly damaged the farming and agriculture of the American people in the 1930’s. The dust bowl was caused by major droughts in the area. The farmers were the people who were affected the most by the dust storms because there entire living was destroyed. The dust bowl affects the areas of Oklahoma, Kansas, and northern Texas because of the severe soil erosion, during that time period which forced people to move.
Farmers need good land to have crops. The Dust Bowl happened during 1934 to 1937. Three years. There was a very big drought going on. Along with that, it started from lands not being farmed properly, ruining the soil.
The Dust Bowl was caused by bad farming techniques and impacted farming. The Dust Bowl was created by a severe drought, what the people in the 1930s in Oklahoma did they planted the crop that did good the year before so that they would make some money( History.com staff). It didn't help that the drought came that year, they plowed and it was doing good for a while (Trimarchi). The drought came in 1931. The dust grew on the top and when it came time to plant dust flew (History.com staff).
In the 1930’s, the Dust Bowl caused huge damage to the Great Plains region of the United States. It was an extreme dust storms which swept across the Southern Great Plains area. At the same time, people suffered by a long term drought. The soil was very dry and winds carried off topsoil. Although people tried to stay and live their homeland, many people decided that they cannot do farm work and live their land.
