THE NAME OF GOD in The Millennium
We have shown that God’s permanent and eternal name is the Tetragrammaton YHWH or “Yahweh”, as is the more commonly accepted pronunciation. It is with this name that He was known throughout the Old Testament (OT). We also showed that this name was changed to “Jesus” in the New Testament (NT). So JESUS is the dispensational name of God in the NT.
As the Dispensation of the Church closes and the Dispensation of the Millennium opens, did God once again change His name? Is there a dispensational name of God in the millennial dispensation?
To answer these questions, let us examine what the Bible reveals on it.
Revelation 3:12:
«Him who overcomes, I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the New Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God, and I will also write on him my new name».
From the above it is clear that after the events of Revelation 3, God will still have his unchangeable name, but Jesus will have a new name. This will definitely be his name in the new …show more content…

That new name is written on his crown in Revelation 19, and is known to none other than to him alone. But we are informed that the name is written on the foreheads of his elect 144,000 in Revelation 7, 9, etc. That name would be his new name, or God’s dispensational name in the Dispensation of the Millennium. He will probably have it alongside with the name “Jesus” because the work of salvation will still go on during the millennial period, until «the new heaven and the new earth» appear. Since this name will be the new name of Jesus during the millennial dispensation, it follows that that will be God’s new name in the Dispensation of the Millennium.
