In William Shakespeare’s tragedy Macbeth, Macbeth was loyal to everyone he knew, but then became a murderous monster after his wife kept shaming him for not being able to do something evil, labeling him as not a man making him a dynamic character because of his wife’s manipulation. Macbeth’s experience with Lady Macbeth is what influenced his future decisions. Lady Macbeth’s wish was to be queen. She would have done whatever it took to be queen. Macbeth was loyal to Duncan, who was king at the time, and did not have any desire to harm him in any way to help Lady Macbeth become queen. It was up until she would shame him and belittle him, “When you durst do it, then you were a man” (1.7.50). She was trying to get into his head, telling him that

The taunting continued until Lady Macbeth came up with a plan to drug the guards, “with wine and wassail” (1.7.65) to make sure they did not remember anything from that night, so the murder would be easier to commit without getting caught. After the murder of King Duncan was successful, Macbeth was in disbelief of what he had done and automatically felt guilty, “Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood Clean from my hand” (2.2.60-61). At this point, Lady Macbeth has created a monster now that the King is gone. Macbeth now sees the opportunity to keep killing, so they can forever be king and queen. It took Macbeth quite some time to get over what he had done to King Duncan, but when he got over it, Lady Macbeth had no idea what he had planned. Macbeth then hired three murderers and sent them out to kill Banquo. His son Fleance was fortunate enough to escape. Macduff flees to England after hearing about his dear friend Duncan. Without a doubt, leaving his son and wife to die. This made Macbeth angry and so because he could not find Macduff, the closest thing was his family.
