The Gruesome Shooting It was chilly in the room as Janice threw over her blankets and slid on her fluffy slippers. It was 6:00 in the morning when she sat on her bed, staring across the room at her closet figuring out what she wanted to wear; jeans and a cardigan, or sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Sweatpants and a sweatshirt it was, if it was going to be a non-exciting, boring Monday, at least she would be comfortable. The door in front of her bed was cracked which was probably the reason the heat didn't get in. When she swung her door open, it collided with her chair. All girls have that one chair in their room where all the useless things of the previous day get tossed to, including Janice's back pack. Next to that door was her dresser. …show more content…
She didn't have many friends, but she had a good amount, enough for her to be happy with. When she walked in the room, she noticed her classmate's faces were filled with sadness because Thanksgiving break was over. Ms. Hudson didn't look sad though, in fact, she was very cheerful, which then made the students feel more welcome. When class began, she was very thrilled to be teaching the lessons. It was the best part of Janice's day except for the part where she actually had to learn and take notes. Midway through, Ms. Hudson stopped the class and excitedly pronounced, "I have something to announce... I'm engaged!". Bunches of little whispers and congratulations exploded into the rooms and the dull, boring day turned into a cheery, joyful day. Up until the phone rang. Ring ring... ring ring. Ms. Hudson hurried to the phone and when she answered, her face was full of horror and her mouth agape. "Everyone hurry into the corner now! There's someone in the building, do not be alarmed, the principal is dealing with it, but the office just called to give a precaution." Ms. Hudson said to the …show more content…
Where is the police? She thought. What happened to the principal taking care of it? Obviously no one was coming because a half- hour or so had passed since the phone call and she knew what she had to do. She knew that if she wanted to make it out of the school she would need to escape. She could go out the window, but the loud click it makes when it pops into position could give herself away. There was no way of leaving without drawing attention to herself so she had a brilliant thought of drawing attention to herself anyways. What could draw attention more than a loud, ear piercing, annoying fire alarm. The fire alarm! There was one outside the classroom too, just right across the hall! It was a plan, she somehow had to pull the fire alarm and run as fast as should could out of the door. The fire alarm will also notify the police and firefighters, and could save a lot of students and
The school was dark in the late hours and very quiet. Nothing seemed amiss until they looked into one of the bathrooms and found that amongst the stalls was a single locked door. Hoter said the room had gone silent and eerie as a friend checked between the gaps
“The intercom clicked off. “Mom? Mom!” Candace said, but the intercom stayed silent. She banged it with her fists in frustration and then backed away as sparks flew out and sizzled.”
The Parkers moved to Connecticut for work. They took a plane from Utah to Portland. Emilie didn't have a seat next to her mom, so a man gave up his seat for Emilie. She had to sit by a couple, and she talked their ears off the whole flight. There was a strong connection between the women and Emilie.

She says; “Hi! You must be our new student, Mikey.” Page 12… The principal walks me to my classroom and says; “Hello students.
One day the students were taken to the office and told they had to leave early. They only made it a half day because the police officers were no longer able to hold back the angry mob. Their lives were in danger. Melba overheard people in the office talking. They created the idea of sending one child out to create a distraction, so the other eight could get out safely.
At first, the author starts out at the beginning of the passage describing the first SWAT(Special Weapons Attack Team) team entering into the school since the shooting began. The rooms are quiet, completely

The first thing he noticed when he entered the garage was that all of the children were circled around one of the fire trucks, probably admiring the new paint job that he’d done on it just a week ago. He clapped his hands to get their attention. Once all eyes were on him he cleared his parched throat, “Hello class, um, today I’m going to be teaching you how to best prevent a house fire and what to do if you are in one. This is very important so I would really appreciate your full and undivided attention.” He paused to gather his thoughts when his phone went off.
Luckily their principal drove by and noticed them, the gang tries to reason with her but she doesn’t buy it
I listened and moved faster as I looked back towards the school. Gun shots began, backpacks dropped and kids scattered to hide behind random cars and in nearby neighborhoods. Chaos

Unfortunately, for Sally Vasquez, this was not the kind of environment in which she worked. Instead of serving as a trusted mediator and assisting Sally with her concerns, Mrs. Pelfrey further exacerbated them. She clearly took sides with the other teachers, leaving Sally to fear for her
If I could travel to any year, I would travel to the year 2012. I would meet Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle, the famous American sniper. I chose him because I want to go into the Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEALs) special operations force, because he was a great person on the battlefield, and because he was a great person off the battlefield. Chris Kyle is one of the most renowned military snipers. He started his life on April 8, 1974, in Odessa, Texas.
Both times the students’ do not realize that their teacher not knowing about the person in question is not something that needs fixing. Because of this, the students do not understand why it frustrates her so much. Miss Caroline is new to the area and is not used to it yet.
