The Junior Reserve officers Training Corps (JROTC) program mission throughout many years has been to motivate young people to become better citizens. You obtain the opportunity to improve not only as a student, but also as a person. A few things the program is responsible for is teaching self –discipline, increasing self-esteem, and encouraging citizenship through participation in community service projects. There are many positions in a JROTC battalion, which are important, but one position that stands out more due to the amount of responsibility it comes with is the battalion commander.
