Alexander Hamilton was the first Secretary of the Treasury of the United States of America. From his simple and modest upbringing to being the founding father of the U.S.
Although Alexander Hamilton was born in the British West Indies, he moved to the US as a refugee when he was young. Not only was Hamilton being the first Secretary of the Treasury of the United States of America, he was also a soldier in General Washington’s Army, an economist, philosopher, founding father of the United States and one of the chief architects who shaped the great nation of the U.S. He was also a founder of the nation’s first political party of the Federalists.

On the orders issued by the Provincial Congress, Hamilton, along with the Hearts of Oaks company formed the New York Provincial Company of Artillery, which was given the duty of protecting the island of Manhattan. The new artillery company that was made up of 60 men contributed in the famous Campaign of 1776. The most active participation by the company was seen in the Battle of White Plains and the Battle of Trenton.
