The Laughing Man and The Catcher in the Rye are both fictional works by JD Salinger. The Laughing Man is a short story about a young boy in the Comanche Club where the Chief, a law school student, tells stories; The Catcher in the Rye is a novel about Holden Caulfield, a teenager struggling to come to terms with all the phoniness in the real world. The Laughing Man is narrated in the first person by an unnamed narrator, who is looking back at a period of his life when he was nine years old. As the story goes on, it becomes obvious that the Chief, by telling the narrator and the other Comanches about The Laughing Man, is in some ways describing his own life. One literary element that both works feature is a strong theme.
Children are an important focus in both stories I see these children being used to symbolize states of happiness in both stories. I also believe they are vital necessities in each story because they are
The theme development in both stories is closely related to the author’s tone that loving a child is no excuse for a lack of
In Ken Kesey’s One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, humor is present in an influential form. Not all insane people have the capacity to laugh or find the humor in something as would normal people are capable of. Most people live terrible realities, drifting day by day in the plain, depressing in the place of an asylum. Patients have forgotten how to live because they are under the commanding rule of the head nurse, and under the behavior effect of drug doses and overbearing orderlies. The patients’ laughter is a therapeutic form.

All the three stories are different versions of a folktales; therefore they must have themes, main ideas of the literary work. Some of the themes are: love overcomes everything, good wins evil, and evil is punished at the end. Romans 2:6-8 says, “God will repay each person according to what they have done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”
In the novel Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger readers are introduced to a young man named Holden Caulfield who introduces himself and begins to tell his story of how and why he left his school; Pencey Prep. In the story, Holden explains how he is being kicked out of school and doesn't want his parents to know and so leaves school early. throughout the story, Holden explains what happens to him before he must go home and act like he is home from school for a break instead of being kicked out. When it comes to the topic of Author's purpose of The will of individual vs the will of the majority some will think the purpose is to show that Holden going against the will of society to rebel, however, I think the author’s purpose of The Catcher in the Rye was to show that the individual will manifest in his desire for isolation comes from his is fear and damage done by fear of pain, failure, rejection, and is unwilling or unable to go along with the majority. This all shown through Imagery, symbolism, and diction.

Yet most of us do not understand how people function, behave and interact between each other within these organizations. We also do not understand if people shape an organization or an organization shapes people. Different people work differently in different situations.

Historians don’t know too much about her early childhood. What they do know is that she spent part of her childhood at the court of the Archduchess Margaret as a “fille d’honneur”. She was then transferred to the household of Henry VIII’s sister, Mary, who was married to Louis XII of France.
However, the goal is to produce an outcome; if they cannot continue through the process because of conflict, the team may not get a satisfactory result and progress will stall and the team will fail to perform the task, will not get to evaluate on their experiences or present a finished product (Tuckman 1965). Additionally, it requires participants to use an in-depth method of thought called critical thinking. This process will challenge them to look at different aspects of why the event happened, and they might find that they had a misconceived understanding beforehand and, that, has changed as they explore further and internalise what they have learned.
