Quantum Computing: A Leap Forward in Processing Power
We live in the information age, defined by the computers and technology that reign over modern society. Computer technology progresses rapidly every year, enabling modern day computers to process data using smaller and faster components than ever before. However, we are quickly approaching the limits of traditional computing technology.
Typical computers process data with transistors.1 Transistors act as tiny switches in one of two definite states: ON or OFF. These states are represented by binary digits known as “bits,” 1 for ON and 0 for OFF.2 Combinations of bits let us describe more complex data, which ultimately becomes the basis for a computer. For instance, a 2-bit computer has four possible bit combinations at any given time: 11, 10, 01, and 00. Every

Essentially, a quantum computer is not going to replace your laptop. Quantum computers are extremely task specific, meaning that even with IBM’s gate-based approach, those ultra-high processing speeds will only work best on certain types of problems.7 Qubits are very unstable particles; to be used in a computer, they have to be kept at a temperature just a fraction of a degree above absolute zero while shielded from nearly all light and Earth’s magnetic field.7 Even the smallest vibration could disrupt their state. Consequently, quantum computers’ extreme operating conditions confine their use to large research companies or data centers instead of common households, at least until new technology is developed. In accordance with their cumbersome conditions, the fragility of qubits means they also produce a lot of error.7 Some experts estimate that checking the results of one qubit will require 100 additional qubits, meaning that even when quantum supremacy is reached, more qubits are necessary to make the computer truly
6}DECIMAL-A computer in nanoseconds. A nanoseconds is one billionth of a second. Write this number as a decimal, We can write a one billionth as a fraction then as a decimal. So if the fraction is 1.000000000 so you have to have the 1 in its right place so it would be 0.000000001. And that is your final answer.
The processor is faster, more power efficient, and better equipped for modern computing than any others on the market for a student. Along with the Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 for its RAM, it will be able to run several programs

Components Computers have one or a lot of big or small R-A-M chips inside. RAM chips are a random access memory chip inside, the computer uses it to store information that will be used anytime or used to store something like the copy clipboard(The copy clipboard is the thing that stores what you copy to paste later) to delete/change later. There is also a spinning or solid state hard drive that uses DVD like disks that stores information like your video games, pictures, or other things. A CPU is the thing that your computer uses to do all the processing work, like our brain but not like it. CPU stands central-processing-unit.
With the creation of any text comes the influence and the manipulation of the audience into adopting the composer’s values, ideas and ultimate perspective. In representations of history and memory, the natural instinct is to promote one above the other. Nevertheless, texts show that the truest understanding of the past is heightened when historical documentation and memory work in unison to obtain the closest possibility of the truth. The biographical memoir ‘The Fiftieth Gate’ by Mark Baker is an inclusive mix of different textual forms including historical documents and recollections of memories told by his parents. This comparison between history and memory highlights the fallacies of both and how when used together they provide a more cohesive
During the talk by Dr. David Galbraith, several global questions were raised. The most prominent one that came to my mind during the talk was how we are going to survive on a planet that we cannot leave, yet one that we have depleted our natural resources by 98.5%. Galbraith discusses how we survive on Earth because of the presence of our atmosphere and internal magnetic field; we are unique because we have yet to encounter another planet that has an atmosphere like we do. Because our atmosphere is protecting us from cosmic rays and radiation, and we have yet to find a way to substantially protect ourselves outside of our atmosphere, we are stuck on our current planet. As Galbraith discussed during his talk and mentioned above, we have depleted
Alan Turing is widely considered to be the father of the theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence. Was the enigma code unbreakable? The answer to it is No, because Alan Turing did what everyone considered to impossible, he broke the enigma code. Breaking the German enigma code proved to be the tipping point in the victory of the allied forces in World War 2. “Alan Mathison Turing was born on 23rd June 1912.
A physicist’s job is to use humanity’s understanding of how matter and energy interact to learn about the Universe. The job of physics, however, is to unite the four fundamental forces of nature: Gravity, Strong and Weak Nuclear, and electromagnetism, into a single physical model; A theory of everything. In the 20th century, physicists revolutionized humanity’s understanding of these forces and made great strides in uniting them, but the two theories which have brought humanity the closest to this unified field theory, the theories of general Relativity, and Quantum Mechanics, cannot seem to coexist. Both of these theories have made immense contributions to science, but unless physicists can find a way to unite these two scientific principles
30-Day Assignments 1. Write one or two paragraphs on the Soderstrom article, A Single Lucid Moment, pp. 59-61. Comment on what you think of the villagers understanding of the issue, and how you would respond to their request in the context of the Peace Corp Agent.
As of 2014, 86% of adults over the age of 18 in the UK have access to the internet anywhere (Document 11). Technology is a highly controversial issue in today’s society. With an ever-widening gap in technological knowledge between generations, many like to argue that every flaw present in someone today is due to overuse of smartphones. However, these pocket-sized supercomputers we carry around with us allow us to broaden our horizons and experience the world in an entirely new way. While some say technology is taking away our ability to be human, it actually encourages connectivity, and allows for new forms of discovery and creativity.

Quantum teleportation is familiar to everyone but no one knows what it is. Quantum teleportation is in movies like Interstellar, Star Trek, and Back to the Future but what is it? Quantum Teleportation is defined as, “a hypothetical technique to instantly transfer properties from one quantum system to another without contact, or to transfer a quantum state to an arbitrarily distant location.” (dictionary.com) In everyday terms, what that is saying is something is transferred to somewhere else. How is that possible though?
Woof woof ! You killed me by misleading my owner into thinking that microchipping pets is reliable and safe. In reality, microchipping is a tedious and excruciating process for any pet to go through. Animals should not have to be put through the process of microchipping like I had to. This hurts us
The movie titled “The Imitation Game” directed by Morten Tyldum is based on the true story of Alan MathisonTuring. This particular movie was inspired by the biographical book, “Alan Turing: The Enigma” written by Andrew Hodges. Alan Turing was a mathematician, cryptanalysis, and a well known war hero. In 1952, he worked at Bletchley Park, Britain’s code breaking center, during the Second World War. Subsequently, he cracked the Enigma, which is an electro mechanical rotor cipher machine that generates a new code every 24 hours, used by Nazi Germany.
