It was 2:25 pm in Murphysboro, Illinois. The skies darkened, the winds howled, and the rain poured down. Descending on the small little town was a monstrous EF-5 tornado a mile wide with wind speeds above 300 miles per hour. The Tornado had already ravages parts of Missouri and Illinois, killed and injured multiple people, and was ready to lay carnage to Murphysboro. It was coming for the town, straight on a path to tear it up. It ripped up trees, destroyed cars, carried houses into the air… and Justin Sky was caught in the middle of it all. Justin tried to take cover, but everything was being destroyed. Him and his family searched frantically for shelter, and ran into a small building on the edge of town. They ducked into the room, looking for …show more content…
As I ate, I asked my mother “When do you think dad will be home from deployment?” “Anytime between two forty and three o’clock” she said. “Hmph, If I were him I’d get here by three thirty to pick us up from school” my younger sister Emma Sky uttered. Emma is one of those girls who is very popular at school and cares about her friends and family, but doesn’t care about much else. She is a really nice sister, but she can get to be a pain sometimes. Emma is actually a decent student though, no matter what people think about the “popular group” of kids at school, Emma is part of them and still a good student. She normally gets Bs and B+s for grades, and listens and learns when necessary. Did I mention that she can be a pain? “Yeah, right.” I argued. “You might think so, but maybe he’ll be home early because he actually wants to get home then to see mom and help clean up the house.” “Why would he do that?” Emma stated “Because he cares about our family!” I responded sharply “Maybe I’ll pick you guys up from school early today to come greet him when he comes home from deployment.” My mother said, a smile on her

The woman with the long black skirt opened the door, while wiping the tears from her eyes. A man on the other side of the door asked the woman, do you want to save your son. A boy with fair hair came running to the door when he heard the murmurs of his mother. The boy with the fair hair tried to listen but wasn 't able to hear the response the woman gave the man. The woman didn 't know if she should go through the nuclear war together or should save her son.
A huge wall of water rushed picking up and throwing anything in its path. It threw trees and cars like a pitcher throws a ball in a game of baseball. It wrecked homes and killed poor innocent people. Luckily Dad was holding Scar and was able to hold on to her. Mom and Char could see each other but they weren’t
She’d give her parent the best face of sadness that she could muster, and give her apologies for not being able to stay long too-even though she didn’t mean it. Her father always asked when he could see her, and he’d always accept whatever answer she gave him even if she didn’t go through with it. Except, this was not the case today. She couldn’t walk towards the door; all she wanted to do was just hop onto the closest flight to California.

Trees were down power lines were down, and some roof shingles were ripped off. The hurricane was like a three year old throwing a tantrum when eating their vegetables. Not to mention the town was without power for a week. So imagine being stuck in the house with no electricity. When the lights go out the darkness is like the void of space.
The sun heats the surface (land or water). The warm air starts to rise and meets the colder air above The air starts moving faster and overpowers slower winds. It continues to gain speed and size The wind is still not visible and has the shape of an horizontal cylinder.
The days passed by quickly and before they knew it, it was Christmas day. Bella had spent the past three days with Edward while her mother was away with Phillip. During that time she thought long and hard about what to get Edward. She ended up purchasing a braille talking watch, but it wasn’t enough. She wanted to give him something else.
Tornadoes are the most violent storms ever. They have caused deaths of many people. Then they also destroyed many buildings and acres of land. Many people are not friends with tornadoes as they sometimes destroy someone's business, and lead people's careers to an end. Also some people are just unlucky, because the country they live might have a lot of tornadoes.
The tell-tale signs were still there. Wagons and stands that were now in pieces lined were streets once were, they must have had a market day. A large fountain that was remarkably untouched stood in the middle of disaster. Ahead, I saw a woman, who looked about six months pregnant, and two men standing in the middle of the destroyed square in silence.
He reluctantly set the table as his dad burst through the door. Logan tried to ask his dad about his day but he just waved him off and asked his mom when the food would be ready. She replied, “I haven’t started yet dear.”
“And come back. I’ll be here.” “Really? I thought you’d be heading back to look after daddy.” “Daddy can look after himself,” she said,
The Storm Lightning crashes overhead as I race back into the house, dripping wet. I was just returning back from an adventure in the woods. The storm was unexpected, even the forecasters had never expected it. Luckily, I managed to make it back inside safely.
