He had been known for many works of music and acting. As his career went on many said "[h]e [was] an enduring icon" ("KING OF JOCK &"). Presley’s music yielded a strong influence on the youth culture. His music was more of a hard rock n’ roll tone than most of the music that was published at that time. Multiple parents disapproved of the genre Presley’s music fell into, but the children who listened to his music thought of him as a hero and did not care about what the parent’s thought. The father of Keith Urban was placed on hospice earlier this week. The country music singer is beside himself with the news because his father, Robert Urban has been such an important part of life. Keith Urban announced the news while at his exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. According to a report from US Weekly, Keith Urban 's father was placed on hospice just days before the exhibit opened. It was both a happy and sad occasion for the country artist.

His family was very close; he grew up living very close to his aunts and uncles, cousins, and his grandparents. He was born with a twin named Jessie but unfortunately he died at birth which left Elvis to grow up an only child. His family grew up poor and did all they could to give Elvis a happy life. He was very interested in music from a young age according to Tom Ott, “ Still, there were signals of his unusual gifts as far back as age two, when he would scamper off his mother's lap at church and run over to join the choir in full swell.” His first ever music outing was in a talent show at the Mississippi-Alabama fair at 10 years old.
During the super bowl half time show Justin Timberlake was chosen to perform and during one point of the show he was walking around in the stands and towards the end of his performance. One young kid took a selfie with Justin while he was singing. He looked so out of place and once the super bowl was over he blew up and his picture was turned into a meme. He was a young kid and there is no way he has any knowledge of who Justin Timberlake is nor has he heard any of his music. Elvis Presley has had more impact on American society and culture than any other person in history for the three following reasons; his large contribution to the start of the generation gap in the 1950’s, his huge impact on rock ‘n’ roll music, and finally, his music opened a door for some integration between races. First of all, in the 1950’s Elvis Presley and his music started the era of the generation gap between teenagers and their parents, an era which is still going on today. With Elvis being very young, attractive and his new type of music and dancing, teenage girls fell head over heels for the young star. Most parents though, did not feel the same way about Presley. He was often described a vulgar and many accused him of corrupting the youth.
