The King Has Left the Building of Life Various individuals throughout history have always showed a love for music. Elvis Aron Presley was born as a poor boy, but later became known as the ‘King of Rock n’ Roll’. His passion for music had made others fall in love with the genre of music he created. Presley’s family supported him through everything and made a significant effort to help make him be the rock legend that he is today. Even though Presley was not as intelligent at school, he had a passion for the arts, by singing, playing instruments, and later acting. Presley’s hard-work and determination in his life, caused him to be the rock n’ roll artist that everyone knows today. He had been known for many works of music and acting. As his career went on many said "[h]e [was] an enduring icon" ("KING OF JOCK &"). Presley’s music yielded a strong influence on the youth culture. His music was more of a hard rock n’ roll tone than most of the music that was published at that time. Multiple parents disapproved of the genre Presley’s music fell into, but the children who listened to his music thought of him as a hero and did not care about what the parent’s thought. In 1955, because ten years of unique wide ranging middle-class prosperity had surfaced with, teenagers being at the front of this new form of middle-class, he began to become even more popular. As more of his music remained published more adults came to approve of it and even started to like it. Even after Presley’s death, his music was still going strong just like his movies were too. His manager Schilling had an idea that could continue his legacy. “Schilling insisted on cast approval for ABC's TV series about Presley in 1990" (Miller).
