Introduction: There are several things that people could say killed Brutus or were the “cause and effects” of his death. I have chosen to talk about the fact that I think he was kinda unintelligent, because he was super easily manipulated into killing his best friend. I then talk about times he was honorable. Last but not least I talk about how he was noble. I can’t wait for you to read it. Body paragraph 1: I chose to say that one of the causes of Brutus’ death was that he was too easily manipulated. This means that it was easy for people to control or influence him cleverly, and unfairly. Some of the times he was manipulated were, In the beginning of the story Casius pulled him aside and told him that he thought that Caesar was or could potentially be a threat. This already started to get into Brutus’ head but to make sure it was working Casius had some of his men go and throw some letters that were written in different handwritings into Brutus’ house so that he thought citizens were scared Caesar was gonna be a threat too. …show more content…
I chose to say that Brutus was honorable because honorable means that someone is brave and selfless. Brutus was honorable because he thought that the stuff he did was for the good of Rome. He didn’t know That killing Caesar would be the wrong thing to do, since it was put in his mind that it was the right thing to do. He’s been called honorable in several different
While some may still disagree, viewing his actions as immoral or dishonorable, I believe that Brutus’s intentions truly were noble and that his righteousness is indisputable. Brutus loved Caesar greatly, but his love for Rome simply exceeded that love and inevitably led to his afflictive decision. He acted purely out of his devotion to Rome and eventually even sacrificed his own life for the country he loved and valued so greatly. Brutus’s sacrifices should not be disregarded, and instead the courage and morality he displayed should be honored and
He also always spoke with honesty, and was a truthful person. The last reason is because he loved Rome, and all of his decisions were based on his love for Rome. Brutus was truly a noble man, and although he made some wrong decisions, he tried his hardest to do what was best for the city that he loved more than himself. Throughout the book, Brutus tried to remain
Brutus chooses to be honorable in the eyes of the plebeians and makes a decision for the best of Rome. Brutus has proven multiple times that he has control over the people of Rome because of his actions in being trustworthy and the most honorable and this is why Brutus would be an even better ruler than Caesar could
Brutus was manipulated through Cassius’ clever planning, bad judgment calls, and his nobility. Throughout the play Brutus’ apprehension of killing Caesar is very much apparent. But it all started with Cassius planting a little doubt in his head. Cassius is a wise guy and knew just what to say to get Brutus talking.
Overall, some might express that Antony is the most honorable character because of his loyalty to Caesar; however, Brutus is the most honorable in the play because Antony himself said that Brutus was the most noble Roman and only joined the conspirators for the good of the
After a brief moment of reviewing this prolonged case, the members of the court hereby declare that Marcus Brutus, who was suspected and charged 1st degree murder for the assassination of Julius Caesar, is NOT guilty! It has been notable that Brutus is still noble to the people of Rome and still has their respect. He had the intention of questioning his motives when other members of the conspirators didn’t because he was smarter and more intelligent. Here was evidence of manipulation by Cassius, he created a false letter by the people of Rome to persuade Brutus to do something. Cassius talked poorly about Caesar’s health and physical condition and was the first to come with the plan.
The least honorable character of Julius Caesar is Brutus. The main reason Brutus is dishonorable is because he betrayed his friend Caesar. Brutus shouldn’t have made Caesar think they were friends because in the end they weren’t true friends. If Brutus wanted to be seen as an honorable friend he should have sat down and talked to him about what he was doing. Instead of doing this, Brutus killed Caesar and helped the conspirators.
Although Brutus believed he was better fit for Rome than Caesar, he was not fully convinced as you can tell before he stabs Caesar. Brutus was hesitant to kill Caesar, Brutus must’ve became overwhelmed by the whole senate glaring at him and couldn’t think what to do for a while. This is relevant today in the world; kids all around the world try to stay away from drugs, negative, and etc. Their peers are the ones are who manipulate them by using peer pressuring them, just as Brutus was peer pressured by the majority of the Rome senate. Julius Caesar was astonished that Brutus was also involved in his assassination, as he said “Et tu Brutus?”
Brutus’ tragic flaw is his idealism and logic over emotions. This is evident in Act II, Scene i, where he decided to join the conspiracy against Caesar. He believed that his actions would be good for Rome. However, his actions were based on
But in the end, Brutus felt he had not made an honorable use of Caesar’s death and realized he made a mistake so he took his own life, and unlike Cassius, he died an honorable death for honorable reasons. “This was the noblest Roman of them all./ All the conspirators save only he/ Did that they did in envy of great Caesar./ He only in a general honest thought/ And common good to all, made one of them”
Honor in the world gives people a reason to fight for the things that they believe in. Throughout The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Brutus has had to make many tough decisions that display the great honor within him. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare's, it is made very obvious that Brutus is an honorable man. Brutus preserves his honor by taking care of Rome’s issues with good intentions and without going too far.
The Roman people may think of Brutus in different ways than others. Throughout the play, Brutus is described as honorable because of his words and actions. In Mark Antony’s funeral speech for Caesar, Antony stated many times that Brutus is an honorable man. Although Mark Antony did not agree with what he was saying, the Roman citizens did.
The honest Brutus was a triumphant man who helped Rome in many ways. However, Brutus’ righteous attitude towards Rome can cause Brutus to slip into problems. A large cause and effect that ended in Brutus’ death, was his love for Rome which allowed him to be manipulated. Another example of cause and effect is Brutus’ mental state. His guilt and impulsive thoughts caused him to kill himself.
Brutus has negatively affected the outlook of Rome and created more harm than good for the situation. Not only did it harm Rome, but it brought his own demise and hallucinations of Caesar’s ghost. Brutus’s speech to the plebeians after Caesar’s death, about his dilemma and his viewpoint towards Caesar, influenced the viewpoints of the plebeians and causes them to believe he is the best roman until Antony speaks to them. Brutus’s idealism led to his own death later on and brought him more misery than his idealism could
I feel like he didn’t take their opinion into consideration if the people wanted or needed anything. He has strong support for them but does not want them to lose their power. Brutus can be careless sometimes too. He doesn’t care about what anyone else does. The actual reason he killed himself is that he believed that it was he who had to protect Rome, but now he feels he has ruined Rome.
