Rural development is as important as urban development. Alleviating the hardships of the rural people is fundamental to rural development. Efforts at developing the rural areas are aimed at creating industries and employment opportunities. Any initiative towards this end would be welcomed with open arms in Nepal. This would also reduce the population density in the cities. They would be able to prosper in the village itself without having to think about migrating somewhere for their livelihood. Rural development in simple terms can be defined as the process of improving the quality of life and economy in the remote and rural parts of the country. These rural areas may be isolated and sparsely populated, but, in most cases, they offer a picturesque natural setting with a rich culture. Have you ever wondered what Agricultural Revolution was and if it had a positive or negative effect on human civilization? Well, the Agricultural Revolution had a huge effect on civilization. It was when humans discovered how to farm! This took place from about 10,000 B.C to about 3,000 B.C. I believe it had a positive effect on human civilization for a couple of reasons.

I believe the Revolution in agriculture was necessary to the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution is a time period in the 1700s where the output of machine-made goods began in England. Most of England's landscape in the 1700s was covered by small farms. These small farms were woven by hand, which is a lot of work. Wealthy landowners however, bought most of the land and enclosed it with fences or hedges, letting them cultivate larger fields called enclosures.
In the video “Farmland,” there were six farmers that took their own roles in each of their farms. They each had interesting chores and responsibilities for their farming business. The video showed the importance of living on a farm and knowing what it is like because most Americans have never been on a farm or a ranch or even know what takes place with farming occupations. The public perceptions created from this are many times incorrect, causing many wrong assumptions in the public. As we watched the video, we noticed a variety of occupations for each of the farmers throughout the agriculture business.

Verbrugge defined multiplexity as: - the overlap of roles, exchanges, or affiliations in social relationships. Having a close friend who also is a co-worker or neighbour is an example of a multiplex relationship (Verbrugge,1979). Coleman viewed Multiplexity in social relationships as enriching social capital because it allows social organizations to be appropriated from one situation to another.

We as humans have always been a part of agrarian societies but that has changed since the Industrial Revolution and are now the greatest industrial nation in the world. Agrarian societies are based on agriculture and they also have made their own material goods by hand. They were also known to be an intimate community that had good cooperation, communication and working well together. Also, agrarian societies created communities that actually socialized with one another. Then everything had changed when the Great Transformation and the Industrial revolution occurred.

Tourism is the income of people from one place to another place for vacation, but it can also be for business or entertainment. Tourism can either be international or domestic. Tourism has an influence on any country, either it’s for a positive impact or a negative impact. An example one might consider includes that the tourism in that individual country could possibly increase the income and positively improve the economic aspect of the country, but tourism can also negatively impact the environment.
