The least honorable character of Julius Caesar is Brutus because he went against Caesar and fought against his people who all loved him. Yes, he was fighting for the town but Caesar had it all under control. He was a good king to the people. Brutus had no right to move forward with conspirators to kill Caesar. You never go against your friend. That is not called being honorable at all. No matter what happens, you always stay truthful, trustworthy, and reliable to your friend. Brutus is the least honorable character of Julius Caesar because he broke trust which is no honorable. If turning your back on a friend is honorable then I don’t know what this world has come to. Brutus was not honorable, he let Cassius persuade him so easy into the murder of his friend. Yes, Brutus did what he thought was best for Rome but he commited a sin and was disloyal. Loyalty in a friendship is one of the most important things but that is most definitely not what Brutus has. Killing someone for your country is really not an excuse to murder someone. As stated in the text, “Yet, I see thy honorable mettle may be wrought from that it is disposed”, as was said by Cassius towards Brutus. He feared that Caesar’s ambition would hinder the countries fate. If Brutus admits that Caesar was good for the people then wouldn’t that mean he was good for Rome too? He had admitted to the stabbing of Julius Caesar so that means he has no shame, correct? Yes, Antony claims Brutus to be an “honorable man” but in reality he believes no such thing.
