When I was 14, I saw my remarkable cousin walk across the stage to receive her award for all her years of dedication to be inducted into National Honor Society. She encompassed all the requirements for entrance into the National Honor Society and ever since then, I have had my mindset on following in her footsteps and stepping even farther to conquer the indefinite. As I opened the letter to be invited to apply for membership, I could not even remember the last time my eyes and smile sprouted that immense because to me, being nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. I would be thrilled to join such a society because of the limitless opportunities it would present to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person and do as much as I can for others. In my years as a student at Mahwah High School, I believe that I have displayed various examples of scholarship, leadership, service, and character that I deem would qualify me to join this prominent society. Being a high school student who balances the rigorous work of AP and Honors courses, tough sports, clubs, and volunteering just shows my ability to bend to anything that comes my way. In the beginning of this year, my character abilities …show more content…
I try to be involved in anything I can to help the school, from being an active member of the tennis team, volunteering at several locations to give back to the world, and being apart of REBEL to help spread awareness and guide people to make better decisions. I believe that I would be an asset to the society because I always bring a positive attitude, always work hard to achieve my goals. I make every effort to assist my fellow students to do their best and will be a very dedicated person to any scenario National Honor Society brings in my pathway to
At the end of the day, my foremost motive in school is to progress. I believe that National Honor Society will help me grow academically and socially by surrounding myself with people who share my ambitions. I want to be able to improve my communication skills and leadership abilities, to help the community through service activities, and to be a good role model to other students so they can see that being a hard-working student is a good
I am an exceptional National Honor Society candidate because of my record of achievements in the classroom and the community. My accomplishments as a student, a Keystone club officer, a Girl Scout, a Junior Leadership Seminar delegate, and Ramstein cheerleader satisfy the qualifications of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. It is upon these four pillars that NHS is based. As a National Honor Society member, I will use my strengths to help Ramstein NHS Chapter continue its distinguished record of accomplishment in community service.
As a junior in high school, I was inducted into the National Honor Society for doing exceptionally well in my academic endeavors and actively participating in volunteer events. My contributions through this organization have made a significant impact on both my personal development and my community’s support services. The numerous volunteer projects in which I have participated have prepared me to continue helping others in the future. Through projects such as building houses from the ground-up with Habitat for Humanity, I have developed teamwork skills, discovered my management potential, and increased my social network, all while working to provide services for less fortunate individuals in my community. Some
I was delighted after receiving the letter informing me I was eligible to become part of the National Junior Honor Society. It would be a privilege to be accepted into such a prestigious group as the one listed. The NJHS is known for helping students learn leadership skills and unlock their full potential and I firmly believe that I would love to be a part of it. Being the fun loving people person that I am I have no problem working with other kids and or adults. I have many qualities that I would love to contribute to the
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
I believe I display all of the qualities mentioned in the four pillars of National Honor Society. I am a person of good character who displays the six pillars of character in everything I do. I provide leadership and service in many ways and value education as a lifelong learner. Being a member of the National Honor Society would motivate me even more to be the best version of myself and help to create change in positive
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
Whether it be through Girl Scouts, Interact EC, or SMYLE, I find that service opportunities are never a chore but something I look forward to doing. Wherever my path may go after Daniel Hand, I can know for certain that I will continue to be a part of leading and serving the communities I am a part of. Induction into the National Honors Society would be a great honor, and I would like the sincerely thank you all for considering
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship.
Being one of the few who is eligible to be chosen for National Honor Society is an honor in itself, I have my teachers and peers to thank for helping me keep a positive attitude and a good character in and out of school. With the constant encouragement that I get from them, my character, scholarship and leadership all keep improving. I am hoping that by being chosen to be in NHS I can add serving the community and helping those in need to my list of improving qualities. Since the ninth grade when I was informed about NHS I was determined to keep my grades up to meet the required GPA, retaking exams when needed and paying close attention in my classes. I strove to be the absolute best I could, keeping my GPA at a 3.7 this school year hoping
National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.
