Rogers Hornsby Rogers Hornsby was a very important person in the 1920s and 1930s. He played baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, Boston Braves, Chicago Cubs, and the St. Louis Browns. He also managed the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, Boston Braves, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Browns and the Cincinnati Reds. While in his playing years he earned the nickname ¨The Rajah.¨ Lots of people don't really know a lot about Rogers Hornsby. Rogers Hornsby was born to Ed Hornsby and Mary Rogers on April 27th, 1896.
