The significance of the American Revolution is important because it is the birth of a new American society. After winning the war against the British, American leaders formed the concepts of their own ideal government. Although the Americans won the war against the British, they were still struggling because of rich elites embracing their new freedoms. While the poor uneducated population was still struggling, America was turning into a confederacy through the Articles of Confederation, women and slaves were granted some freedoms but still had to face the hardships of a developing nation, and the economy was really taking a toll.
The continental army was mostly made up of farmers, painters, and uneducated people only fighting to protect their homes. The rich elites promised the soldiers a certain amount of money after the war was over, once the war was over they were not given their money but instead certificates of their gratitude and were to receive their money over a period of time. This frustrated soldiers causing them to protest over their lack of pay. Some of the soldiers threaten the government but George Washington managed to take care of it before it was put into action. The elites were still rich and the poor were still poor.

The American Revolution began due to the corruption of the British government. The British had a monarchy in which the ruler’s descendants were given power after the ruler’s death. Thomas Paine explains that the British monarchy is not an effective form of government (Document 5). He states that man started out as all equal and that the present distribution of powers is unnatural. Paine calls hereditary succession an abominable practice.
The Articles of Confederation was the first constitution of the Americas. The Articles served as a written document that established the national government. The Articles were created to help the colonists when they were fighting for independence from Great Britain. The Articles gave the colonies a sense of a united government. But soon the Articles started to fail.
The American Revolution was one of the most important events in the history of the United States. The American Revolution allowed the U.S. to separate from Great Britain and gain independence. The American Revolution was full of many bloody long battles that were fought long and hard by both The American Colonists and the British. The first Revolutionary War began in 1775. The Colonists had many weaknesses during these many wars yet they still managed to beat the British in many wars.
LEQ 2 Most American have heard the stories about The Famous American Revolution which took place between 1775 and 1783. Also We all heard about the rugged American patriots who were fed up with the British Tyrannous control of the 13 colonies that they decided to revolt against the most power empire in that time of history, Britain, and in a strange turn of events, they won. They, however didn’t win without the help of the French, Spanish, and most of the rest of European nation, whether formally involved or not. American society was fundamentally changed by the American Revolution in multiple ways. It brought about political ideas of democracy while also bringing citizens rights and testing them. Women's rights, along with slave rights, were also talked and debated about in this time period (A, H, J) although nothing was really done for women and slaves in this time period. The American Revolution was a historical period in our nation’s legacy, and shaped the outcome of our country, the land of the free, as it is today. Being so close to the historic to the city of Boston, it’s important to recognize the crucial role the city had in the revolution. From 1761-1773, a series of events established a movement in British North America, starting in Boston in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, and was embraced by more as English colonists filled their duty to play an active role in protecting their freedom and rights as British subjects. These events, the Stamp Act, The Boston Massacre, and the Boston Tea Party was a succession of events in which the people of Boston were reminding their government, the British Parliament, that they have crossed a line. By imposing taxes and oppressive policies on the American colonies, the British Parliament threatened their traditions of self-government and Bostonians defied them.
In that case, the American Revolution was very revolutionary because there were political, social, and economic changes. Wealthy people lost their money, there was a new government, it made citizens question slavery, and certainly more freedom for the Americans. The American Revolution resulted in the establishment of an independent nation; British colonists became American citizens. That was a vast change in U.S history.
Historians may argue that the inclusion of only white males in this brand-new society makes the American Revolution a failure, but the American Revolution changed the social aspect of the colonies for the better. The change of social status of minorities is not immediate, but the revolution allows for necessary changes to happen in the future. For example, a majority of the north abolished slavery less ten years or even before the end of the revolution. The rest of the north and the slave-dependent south abolish slavery within the next eighty years (Document 5). After the Revolution, women feel they have a voice.
However, in 1775, there was the American Revolution, which was started by the American people to obtain their independence because the British had increased taxes in the thirteen North America colonies. From this moment, rights of women were modified. That is why today, this war is called the war of American independence. According to the “American Revolution history” website, the conflict was between the North American colonies and the British Crown, which was represented by the colonial government. Furthermore, and according to Annette Gordon –Reed, the “American Revolution is a picture of the people who can create the Republic”, which is means that Americans fought for their freedom and independence for eight long years.
The Articles of the Confederation was the first form of government created by the Continental Congress, which developed an alliance between the thirteen states. Women and African Americans were given more rights such as the right to vote and slavery was abolished after the revolution. Political changes involved Americans truly separating from Britain by destroying any ties they had with the country and it also involved Americans stating their political beliefs and changes which were different from what they were taught by the British. Social changes included Americans viewing blacks and Native Americans as equals
The American Revolution brought independence to slaves, colonists, Native Americans, and women. The Revolutionary War made the United States and France allies go against Great Britain. France made a choice to assist the United States military until they received independence from Great Britain. The Revolution had a huge part in slavery, such as bringing conflict between slavery and liberty because the North prohibited slavery. The South did not believe that slavery should be abolished.
The Articles of Confederation was an agreement among the thirteen original states of the United States that served as the first constitution. The Articles had first been introduced by Richard Henry Lee in the Second Continental Congress. Although the Articles of Confederation has made its contributions throughout history, the Articles, however, did not last very long and had been proven inadequate from the very start. I agree with this statement based on the examples and analysis of the Constitution I will soon provide. The Articles of Confederation were written during a time when the American people feared a strong national government.
If women continued to gain power and independence then the fabric of society would disintegrate and gender relations would be altered, which men did not want to happen. Americans had a choice of keeping the practices and ideals of the revolution concerning women or maintain the social
