The Great Depression was a time of little hope and small dreams. Much of what happened forced young children out of their world out of their world into the adult world. I’ve also had to step up into the vast realm of the adult world.

During the Great Depression many kids had to step up and begin acting like adults. Young kids had to start doing hard challenges for their age to help their families. Some kids even had to enter the workforce at exceptionally young ages to try to help their family get any extra money. Other times kids simply left home in hope of a better life for them and their families they left behind. That can be shown in No Promises in the Wind when Josh and Joey left home for a better life.
