Based on your Vision Statement, the areas I found valuable and the concepts I will apply during the module entries are earning my degree, followership, and the four dimensions of wellness. I feel, although strong in certain aspects of growth and development, to be more rounded I need to concentrate specifically on my ability to listen to everyone I deal with. This will aid me in both followership and the dimensions of wellness. Also, earning a degree is essential to ensuring a place in tomorrow’s Air Force. Over the next few paragraphs, I will elaborate on how I plan to improve on these key areas. Within the near future, I plan to continue my path to complete my education. I currently sit eight classes from finishing my bachelor’s. Each class cost $750, …show more content…
I have had conversations with my wife and supervisor about possibly becoming a first sergeant. While I weigh the pros and cons, need to take proactive steps so if I in fact go this route, I have prepared myself as best as possible. Expanding my social network and becoming more involved with the senior noncommissioned officers at my installation will assist me in both making the determination, and preparing for the responsibility. My goal is to sit down with my first sergeant when I return to my unit and express my interest in the position. After collecting the fact and considering his advice, I will determine if the goal is attainable and realistic. This may take a considerable amount of time to complete due to the comprehensive workload associated with being a temporary first sergeant, and full time unit deployment manager. To accomplish my goal, I must change my perspective from thinking as long as I do my job well nothing else really matters. Thinking in retrospect, this could not be further from the truth. I cannot expect to further my career if I cannot see past the lenses of my own duties and

Command Expectations of a Military Intelligence Sergeant First Class Being promoted in the United States military to the rank of Sergeant First Class is the first step that a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) takes into the senior enlisted ranks. With this promotion comes a new set of responsibilities from a command’s perspective. Until this point in the career of an NCO, their respective focus has been to a team or squad. The expectations of a junior or mid-level NCO to their team or squad are often basic accountability, personnel task management, and dissemination of information. Taking the next step from Staff Sergeant into the realm of Senior NCO as a Sergeant First Class means more direct involvement with the command team of a unit and additional
According to Harriet Stranahan, a professor at the University of North Florida, and two of her colleagues, “Students leaving college today [2019] are burdened with the highest levels of student debt in recorded history. The statistics are frightening: 44.2 million people in the US have student loan debt, total student loan debt is over $1.3 trillion, second only to housing debt in the US and over $32 billion of the debt balance is currently in default” (Beal, et. al, p. 219, 2019). As a result of these overwhelming numbers, students must work to pay off their student debt. According to Liberty University’s Student Financial Services, the average cost of tuition for undergraduate students is $23,800 per year, which averages $815 per credit hour (About Liberty).
“With more than $1 trillion in student loans outstanding in this country , crippling debt is no longer confined to dropouts from for-profit colleges or graduate students who owe on many years of education”. Students or future college students are struggling to figure out solutions to pay off college debt. With rates increasing every year , it is becoming extremely difficult to receive an education and overcome tremendous debt at the same time. However , there are several possible solutions that can help solve the issue of high tuition fees. The first solution is to attend a group called the Scholarship Sharing.
My career is a welding they make about 20 to 30 an hour. I plan to go to college for a two year course. Then I plan on doing welding jobs and save enough money to open up a shop. If I had a minimum wage job I would not have much money.
My vision for our platoon is to be the best Platoon in the 232d MED BN. By best I mean, motivated ready to receive both military and civilian mission focused medical education to help continue to conserve our fighting strength. This will include physical training, warrior tasks, medical sustainment and Soldier training. Team building will also be one of the most important elements for our platoon to ensure our readiness for real world and support operations for our force.
Warrant officers are the leaders of their field and experts in their trade. As such, they must be reliable, technically and tactically proficient, quick learners, and self-motivated, traits I already possess. I believe I have the necessary skills, experience, and leadership abilities to be a great asset to the Army as a Warrant Officer. I have more experience and training than most of my peers considering warrant officer as their next step. I have proven to be a dependable, capable, driven and a proactive non-commissioned officer throughout my career and have always sought out positions of higher responsibility.
However, you will not be able to take another special duty assignment until you fulfill another operational assignment after you are done here at the schoolhouse. Having two, special duty assignments on your records will look attractive to board members eyes during promotion panels. Being a military training instructor will fit your team roles of an executor, since you are assertive, independent, and have high standards. I feel you will have no problem lighting up a trainee, who loses their military bearing. This will also be an appropriate tie in with your cognitive preference of an adaptor, since you use the rules to solve problems and prefer structure and have supportive, consistent, and methodical values.
This letter is in a business format to bring attention to the miraculous support and guidance provided by James R. Ruffner MS, CRC. Upon leaving the United States Armed Forces after 20 years, the competing and properly understanding the United States work force was disheartening and overwhelming. In the service you are trained to persevere; however, once that chapter of your life is complete, an insurmountable loneliness and ignorance dominates your daily actions. In what I consider an extreme low point in my life, Mr. Ruffner said, “Your in my program now, things won’t be perfect but, you will be alright”. “It’s my job to make sure you and your family will be ok”.
I have not been wasting Uncle Sam’s time the past five months. The Chief Petty Officer Academy has proven to be a useful course that should make me a better Chief. I’ve learned many valuable skills and had several enlightening experiences at the academy, although there are three things that I will take back to the ship and try to display and implement immediately. The first is a commitment to physical fitness, secondly the lessons I learned from the LPI 360 survey, and lastly coaching. There were many other lessons in the course but so far these are the ones the most forward in my thoughts.
My largest expense after high school will more than likely be college based, like: tuition, books, and necessary software for classes. I am planning on filling out financial aid so my expenses aren’t as overbearing. Although, I will have to create a plan to keep track of my earnings and expenses for what aid won’t pay for. After college expenses I will need to pay for transportation.
During the past five weeks I have grown not only has a leader but as a Chief. I will share with you what classes and experiences impacted me the most. Two of these are classes, one being the LPI assessment it provided great insight in how I’m viewed by my subordinates, peers, and managers. The next was the generation’s class which gave me a different way of looking at my interactions with people younger and older than me.
I agree that this would be an excellent special duty assignment since you have been looking for a duty location in the northeast that does not require you to retrain. You’ve also told me that at times the MBE-Active leadership style required by our mission has left you feeling very restricted in what you can and cannot do. As an innovator the recruiting duty will offer you more freedom and less direct supervision on a daily basis. You will be entrusted to recruit only the highest quality applicants, but you will be free to do it in the manner you see fit so long as you accomplish your unit’s targets for recruitment. As a refiner you will succeed in this duty because what the Air Force needs is someone to take potential recruits and the goal they created of joining the Air Force, and refine it to an appropriate job based on their talents and abilities.
I have set the goal for myself to obtain enough funding through scholarships and grants that I may finish my degree without borrowing money. I will continue to work at my part-time job throughout the next four years in order to assist in funding the cost
I am paying for a third of my education out of pocket, with the rest coming through a combination of employee reimbursement and federal loans. It’s my to responsibility to pay for my education and to take accountability for every dollar spent, by maximizing my time in
