Dr. Patrick Miller gave an amazing and interesting speech on the issue of the Confederate flag and monuments. The presenter went through the history of what the Confederate flag once stood for and how it became a symbol that affects minorities today. This was Rubio's second nonvictory moment: In Iowa, Rubio had finished third, yet it was in some ways declared a win, since he "overperformed expectations," as The Washington Post put it. A slew of media outlets concurred: Rubio was clearly the GOP candidate with the broadest appeal. New Hampshire had been a disaster, of course, but then Rubio rebounded – "Marcomentum!" Here at the podium beside him stood his three local surrogates, Rep. Trey Gowdy, who is white; Sen. Tim Scott, South Carolina's first African-American senator; and the state's popular Indian-American governor, Nikki Haley, one of the GOP's rising stars. Over the past two days, the three had barnstormed across the state with Rubio, providing a feel-good image of an inclusive
The purpose that Jeh Johnson was trying to convey in his speech was how the Bloomberg Government will be able to protect and conserve the United States infrastructure regarding terrorist attacks, border security, and deportation efforts. During the speech, the speaker was trying to grasp the audience attention on the issues of the United States infrastructure and how his company can help provide better. In the beginning of the speech, I did have trouble trying to identify what the speaker main point was about. Also, why did he want us to help the United States infrastructure on terrorist attacks, border security, and deportation efforts? It is supposed to be the United States to job to handle all these problems.

These themes draw similar emotions in all men, no matter their background; all men have the need for honour, the urge to please the deity they believe in, and the need to trust in their fellow men.
