I have completed a self diagnostic profiling task which has helped me to analyse if my behaviours, understandings and skills tend towards management or leadership. I had to score myself between 1 and 5, with 1 being closer to management and 5 being closer to leadership. Out of 24 questions 21 of those questions were scored closer to leadership. My results show that I am a leader. A leader is an individual who is voluntarily followed by others. In order to be a successful leader you will need to have a clear sense of direction, also the ability to negotiate, communicate and influence others. B. Tracy, (2008). I strongly agree with being a leader. I believe i have good leadership skills for example listening which i think is one of the most important skills. As i am a reflector listening comes natural to me. According to B. Tracy, (2008) he says that “leaders are made not born”. I think i will need to improve on my leadership skills so i can be a successful leader, starting with my confidence.A leader needs to be confident in order to influence others.

I have taken this advice and i am now starting in small steps. For example I would read out loud in front of my family members and friends and would note down any positive and negative feedback i receive from them and develop the negative
A leader is a person with the power or the ability to lead others, this relates to being a hero because a hero cannot do all work on their own. A hero must have help from others who are willing to follow them and help them with their final goal. This is shown is John C. Maxwell’s quote “A leader is someone who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. What he means is that someone who is considered a leader can know the right path, and be able to help someone else on that same path, and continue on that path with that person.
What is the definition of a ‘leader’? Could it be someone who never wants to see someone fail? Or simply someone who just leads people? There are multiple definitions of ‘leader’ and if there are multiple definitions of leader, that means there would be a large number of leaders in this world, or who have roamed the world in the past. Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Pope Francis and Steve Jobs are all examples of great leaders who have influenced others.
You always behave, get work done on time, respect others, show your manners, and etc. Being a leader means you set a certain criteria for everyone around you and not show them what they should be, but show them that they have the potential to be that and more. To be a leader you must be supportive of your peers, help those in need when possible, you must be able to preserve through adverse situations with critical thinking, and above all inspire yourself and others to strive for the best of their
Leadership defined is a person who takes initiative to aid others during their every day activities. They makes sacrifices of their time and personal interests for others. I believe I fit this description because I take time out of my day to help the people around me who need it. I help my sister with her English homework. I also help classmates with their English work.
Being a leader involves many different characteristics. A leader must set the example for all others in the group, because if they are to show up late to practice, there isn’t a reason that any of the other members should not do the same. A leader must take risks for the benefit of the group as well as make sacrifices for it. Becoming the leader of the group requires for them to be the most dedicated. They must work harder and not be afraid to lead the group.
What is a good leader? A good leader is someone that take the lead. He or she can build a team of workers that will succeed. He or she inspire confidence, respect, listen within his team. She inspire others to work together in pursuit of a common goal, such as improved patient care.
Being a successful AP student can be a lot of work, and sometimes it is not fun, but the reward is worth the pain. Many people are AP students and there are many different views on what it takes to be an accomplished one. The all-time best way to become successful in any AP class is the simple tactic of repetition. Repetition will get you through the year with good grades and successful preparation, and it will be most beneficial when it comes to test time.
What makes a leader? I believe a leader to be intelligent ,tough, and has the determination to achieve a goal. Having certain skills will have an impact on you being a trustable leader. Being selfless and caring are also characteristics. Malcolm X his birth name Malcolm Little is a fine a example of a leader and has most of these leadership qualities.
What Makes an Effective Leader? There are leaders all around you and you probably did not even know it. A leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. This could be parents, teachers, or the president of a country.
But first, you should have clarity of your own identity and knowledge. Once you have your own foundation with being a leader, I think that as a leader you can transition and understand the behavior of others that may be on your team. When acknowledging others on the team, I think that it is important to identify strengths and weaknesses of others and the team. As you can see, I have outlined what I believe makes a great and effective leader.
This leadership assessment required individuals to “indicate the extent to which each of the following describes you” (Nahavandi, 2014) using a scale of 1 to 4, with 1 not at all being like the person and 4 sounding a lot like the person. As a result of my individual score range, new insights were gained from this leadership self-assessment. Gained Insights
There are many different views and perceptions on leadership and what it exactly means. This is because there are many different types of leaders and many different views on them. But the basic meaning of leadership is an individual who can select the right group of followers and influence them through their distinct gifts, abilities, skills and knowledge. A leader focuses on the follower and puts out a roadmap to the overall mission and vision; hereby the follower is influenced to willingly and enthusiastically in achieving the mission and vision. The leader achieves this influence by humbly delivering a visionary perception of the future in clear terms that resonates with the follower in terms of their believes and values.

We are going to take a closer look at some of these traits including, but not limited to, good communication, the ability to delegate and a strong level of commitment to see how these qualities can help to make someone a good leader.

I firmly believe that by leading based on my values this will be accomplished. I have had many leadership influences throughout my career. Some of them showed me the way I wanted to someday lead and others showed me exactly how not to.
