Thank you for contacting me and requesting a written explanation of the reasons why I decided to change my program of studies in USA to program of studies in Canada. I believe transferring to a Canadian institution is the right decision for the following reasons.
I want to be proud of the school I decide to attend. University of Alberta is a well-known and respected school that ranks on Canada’s top five best universities and is among the world’s best.
It is a research-intensive institution with over 100 years of history. Graduating from a school with such an outstanding reputation will not only be better for me academically and professionally, but will bring me the feeling of pride that motivates me to accomplish more and become successful.
Although Temple University is a satisfying school, it is located in North Philadelphia, a neighborhood with a crime rate above what I would consider safe. I found that the constant police sirens and the general fear of walking back to my dorm at night was distracting me from my studies. Despite Temple’s great efforts to create a safe environment for students, I believe it will be better for me to study in a less

Even though I was awarded a yearly scholarship of $5,000 USD, Temple’s tuition still added up to $41,000 USD a year, not taking in consideration accommodation, health insurance, books and other university expenses. If allowed to attend University of Alberta, I would have to pay around $22,000 USD (C$ 28,500) a year, which is $19,000 USD less than what I already pay. Even though my family does not struggle financially, switching to University of Alberta will save me, at the end of my studies, roughly $57,000 USD on tuition
In my paper, I will be creating an analysis of a provincial policy that was put into place as the Ontario Budget 2016. The specific policy that I wish to address is the policy in regards to post-secondary education tuition. This analysis will include a policy overview, and policy context including how two individual groups (the news media and the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations) are responding to this policy. I will also identify the ideologies involved with different players and some recommendations that I have regarding the policy.
One of the Gateways to this hard life is IMMIGRATION to a new nation which can provide you ample of scopes and ways of growing in your career and standard of life as well. Canada is a Nation which can provide both Successful career and Great lifestyle. But entering into Canadian borders is also not that simple and smooth. But you have now an alternate gate for that which is known as “Saskatchewan”. Migrate to Saskatchewan
It would be easier is they pay the same amount as Canadian students. Lastly, give them more opportunity to become a Canadian.
Saeed said in the Interview with Muhammad Saeed, “When taking a risk the person should be ready to accept the best and the worst scenario” (Saeed), in my case, I wasn’t ready for the worst scenario when taking the risk to come to Canada. Being only mentally prepared for a straightforward life I was quickly overwhelmed as soon as I joined my first school. I was placed in grade 6, even though I was only in grade 5 in Pakistan. Shortly after I had to do tests and assignments, the teaching style, the method of assessment, and basically everything was different compared to Pakistan. I performed poorly for the first few assessments, I was shocked from this result because I was always a “straight A” student in Pakistan and I wasn’t used to anything lower.
Instead of focusing on being an exclusive institute, these schools should accept students based on merit, like Canadian
Natashia Apangchan Canadian Identity As an immigrant, and of the 7 years that I’ve stayed here in Canada, I’ve come to know some of the Canadian identity. I have lots on mind but the things that stand out the most is that Canadians are so patriotic and generous, and diverse. To me, I see the Canadians as patriotic because their love for their country is very strong. I have seen the pride in their eyes when they say that they are Canadian.
As aging young adults we start to daydream about moving out of our parents’ house. We want our own place with complete freedom and not having to hear the phrase “My house, my rules” to our faces ever again. Moving out is a big part of a young adult’s life, but moving to a completely different country is scarier than just moving across the city. The worries of being far away from loved ones and struggling to find a job can become daunting. Our northern neighbor, Canada, seems like the best place to choose since it is within the same continent, but still contains foreign influences.
The cost of tuition is an incredible problem in today’s education system throughout the United States because it hinders the people who want to go college but cannot afford to do so. The price of tuition is a burden to those who are actually attending
There are many areas I could be employed at, I would like to be employed in Alberta. One reason is because it’s close to home and I could visit my family more often than if I worked in the United-States. Another place I would like to be employed at is British Columbia because it’s not too far away from Alberta and it’s a nice place. This job is a pretty good paying job you get 56$ per hour, 8000$ a month, and 95,000$-180,000$ a year.
Journalist Sophie Quinton discusses how college expenses are constantly rising, though many states are now reducing instate tuition in her recent article, “States Move to Curb Rising College Tuition. Quinton informs readers that colleges are not only cutting college tuition, but freezing it. As a result student loans are soaring nationally, and schools are forced to become more efficient. Student loans are then causing debt, that later affects a students’ life in numerous ways. College students today, tend to lean towards nicer looking colleges, rather than a higher education.
Some college students are working part-time jobs and are full-time students. Perhaps, working through college will not always cover all of a student's education expenses including books, supplies, room and board. If free tuition is given, students will have further time to educate themselves. Moreover, college tuition and prices are at an all-time high. Each year, prices are rising higher and higher.
Thank you Canada for electing me to be your Prime Minister of this amazing country. Unlike Stephen Harper, I will keep my promises I made to everyone in this country and change things for the good of the country. One really important thing I’d like to change about Canada is the education system. Although this is a very complicated topic, there are a few things I would change, such as the tuition fees. As your new Prime Minister I’ll lower the amount of the tuition fees so, instead of the costs as $5,000-10,000 I would lower the costs to $3,000 - $5,000 so it’d be possible for many students to pay the costs for post- secondary education.
For instance, the percentage of Canadians aged twenty-five to sixty-four with post-secondary education in 2006 was 60.1% and in 2011 the percentage was 64.1%” (Baisakhi). These statistics exemplify the success rate of the gradual progress the current education system is making on the students in the nation, especially if one considers the difference in annual earnings for full-time working twenty-five to thirty-two year-olds. Graduates that obtain bachelor degrees make a median of 17,000 dollars more compared to their less educated counterparts (Baisakhi). Overall, Canada’s variety of educational opportunities allow individuals to thrive in
Canada offers free education, healthcare and lastly, it is one of the safest and secure countries in the world. Canada is a great place to live in and one of the greatest reasons is that Canada offers free education to kids from kindergarten to Grade 12. Each province does have certain changes in the there education system but throughout Canada, it is mandatory and free of charge to go to school. The Canadian education system only lets qualified teachers with a university degree to teach in classrooms and classrooms (in public schools) are mixed with boys and girls giving both an equal environment to learn. Not
As I am going to enter the university in Canada this coming September, I will explain reasons why I decide to study not in Japan but in Canada and what I would specifically like to learn there with my personal experience. First and foremost, I want to place myself in a strict environment purposely. To be honest, I had never thought about studying abroad before my parents pushing me to go to Canada. I was pretty much satisfied with my situation. I had a family, I had some close friends, I have opportunities to eat delicious Japanese cuisines: It seemed to me that There was no reason to leave Japan.
