The health career that I am most intrigued with is a certified registered nurse anesthesist or for short, CRNA. In the United States, a certified registered nurse anesthesist is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who has acquired graduate-level education and board certification in anesthesia. Certified registered nurse anesthesists provide anesthesia in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists, and other qualified healthcare professionals. I have always found happiness in helping others ever since I was a little girl. Helping other people when they truly need it the most is one of the most satisfying accomplishments. Again, ever since I was a child, I've always wanted to be a nurse; however, it wasn't until a year or two ago that I discovered information about certified registered nurse anesthesists. Since that discovery, I have been extremely interested with nurse anesthesists. Nurse anesthesists are responisible for keeping their patient pain-free and alive while they are in their care. I think I would do really well as a certified registered nurse anesthesist because I absolutely love helping other people and I believe I would really be a benefit to the hospital I work at and the patients I encounter. Anesthesiologist is a medical doctor that treats the patient within the process of a surgical procedure, by monitoring their complaints and making sure comfort is the number one priority. Anesthesiologists report to their patients about the process they are undergoing and what to expect. They monitor vital signs throughout the procedure and make the appropriate adjustments if needed. They also provide medical care to patients in a wide variety of situations and help relieve pain and keep patients safe. A consultant anesthesiologist which has spent at least nine years after graduation is considered a fully qualified doctor.

There will always be a need for a skilled certified nursing assistants, whether it is in a hospital or in a nursing home. Being a CNA, there is a lot to take on and deal with; this type of job you have to be ready physically, emotionally, and mentally. There will always be a need for a skilled nursing assistants at a hospital or nursing homes. All of the job responsibilities a CNA is required to complete can wear you out, but when you get to see that the patient having trust in you and feeling confident that you know what is best for them, is its own reward. There are some people who do not know what a CNA does and the lack of knowledge may result in them believing that they are not an important member to the health care team.

Becoming an Anesthesia Assistant would allow me to work as a healthcare professional, help people in their time of need, and have an increasingly dynamic career. I know that my attention to detail, creativity, and critical thinking capacity developed over years working in the medical field make me an ideal candidate for the Master’s of Medical Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant program at Emory University. As my life progresses, I have created a desire for a profession that offers a varied assortment of opportunities. The first eight years of my life, I spent in India where I was born. Growing up I was constantly reminded by my parents that I needed to make them proud by getting a good job and living a good lifestyle. They told me this because they did not want to see me live a hard life like they did. When I was nine years old, I moved from India to the United States of America. The reason why I moved to America was not because I was living a bad life in India, it was so that I could have a better education and more opportunities in life.
