After many years of war, America became a triumphant, independent nation and dubbed the name The United States of America. America was built on strong grounds of laws and traditions and has had its fate in more than 40 strong leaders’ hands since its independence to steer the country to many successes. Trumps campaign platform is “Make America Great Again!” and believes one way of keeping America great is by slowing the flow of non-Americans coming in, especially at the Mexican border. Trumps Immigration reform plan first point states, “There must be a wall across the southern border” as a way to keep illegal immigrants out of America. He even insists for Mexico to supply funding for the project. Without these immigrants, the United States would lose important economic as well as cultural influences. If businesses are booming, it is also good for the economy.” Immigrants tend to work harder, and for less, than the average American. They strive to better their lives in comparison to how they lived in their former countries. The United States utilizes this in their favor economically since immigrants contribute to businesses as well as pay taxes. Culturally, immigrants are what make America such a diverse nation today. This is a bad trait to possess when dealing with other nations. America is global power and many other countries look upon the United States as a leader, mediator, and in most cases, an aid at hand. Who would want to follow, or look up to a self-centered narcissist? Trumps attitude would lead allying countries astray or maybe even provoke enemies. Donald Trump as President of the United States has many points of negativity. The fate of America in Trump’s hands could consume the country with many more issues than what is already present.
