What the Rock is Cooking. From a shoplifter in Hawaii to a potential president candidate, Dwayne Johnson’s determination allowed him to become the highest paid actor of the modern day. Even after being cut by the Canadian Football League and only having seven dollars, Johnson kept hope and kept trying. Today, Johnson has the potential to have the most successful acting career of all time. With all his success Dwayne remains humble and thankful. At the age of 45, Dwayne Johnson credits his success to everyone, but himself. Johnson’s true reason for his success is his incredible adaptability and unhuman work ethic. Dwayne was born into the life of wrestling (Contemporary Black Biography). Dwayne’s father was the first African-American wrestling champion and his grandfather was a famous samoan wrestler (Contemporary Black Biography).
