In my opinion, I feel like Character is the pillar that is most dominant in my personal characteristics. I strive to be a good person who has morals and always wants to do the right thing. I feel that I am an all around trustworthy person and I works hard for everything I have. My drive and determination to excel are parts of my character that works in conjunction with scholarship. My grades reflect my hard work and determination that are naturally a part of my character. I believe that Leadership, in turn, comes naturally with my personality and my yearning for perfection. I have always been told that I am a good leader and that I listen to others. My leadership skills naturally stem from my character and my morals. I would never influence others to do something that I felt was wrong or immoral. I also feel that my character influences my willingness to serve others. Service is something that I feel is important and I feel that everyone should give back to their community. I am a product of my community and those around me. It is my responsibility to thank them and serve them in return for their kindness in influencing me.
I always serve my community in any way possible. I am always a good leader for groups, sports, etc., I always welcome new ideas even if

Throughout my life, I 've always tried for the best, whether it be my grades or my attitude. Reflecting a good mood to those around me is half of the battle after all.

It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.

For a long time ,y younger years I always assumed it was just a quality you were born with; but of course spending your youth playing team sport you hear the phrase “natural born leader” a lot, with no indication there was no other sort. But now I realize, sure you can have innate qualities that make leadership easier for you to step into but leadership can be developed, and there should probably be more emphasis on that development in some cases. And then I wonder does a “natural born leader” exist? Can you just come into the world ready to lead the masses to betterment? I’m starting to think not; put a little learning in your leadership I say!
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. There are people who learn quicker than others and land in leadership positions more frequently than others, but they must have had to learn the basics of leadership somewhere. Many other people do service to make a living, to provide for their family or themselves. The word “service” has several definitions and I could write a ten-page essay going on about each definition.
