Step 1 The setting is still medieval England and Wales. We have only seen a couple new towns mentioned. The mood has gotten more serious as some towns have fallen. Roland is still the main character. He hasn't really changed he is still smitten with Millicent. The main challenge of this section is trying to reach the queen, and to command a group of soldiers. Llywelyn is a supporting character, who want to untie Wales and be a king. He has to go through his uncles to get Wales under one banner. They have altered the plot because they took in the Earl of Chester and Millicent and Her mother. Roland saved Llywelyn from one of his uncles and by doing this he earned the trust of Llywelyn. Llywelyn agrees to help put the earl of chester back
