It will also strengthen the knowledge gained with university studies by linking pratice to theoretical concepts. I will be able to observe gaps in my understanding and if need be increase my knowledge of certain issues. This will be completed by identifying relevant theories and concepts introduced at university to aspects of the organisation. Evidence for this task will include writing a final reflection of the theories and knowledge relveant to the organisation, that I learnt at university, where and when I used this and where I sought to advance this knowledge . This will allow me to identify my pratical perspective of the information I have learned during my time at
For the sake of this assignment I am going to assume that Seth and Marie are living at home with their parents and this will be their first apartment together. By moving in together instead of getting separate apartments they will be splitting the expenses and saving money. First off, they should realize “Money produces more unnecessary conflict and worry than almost anything else” (Ellis, 2015). It isn’t stated if Seth and Marie will be combining their money or keeping it separate. Either way, conflicts regarding money are bound to happen.
4.1 “just do it”. I spend majority of my time just thinking about how I am going to get the assignment done. By the time I start the assignment it feels like I been working on it forever, when in reality I just started. When am given an assignment I need to work on it as soon as I find free time. “to eat an elephant, first cut it into same pieces”.
I will understand that every student is different and embrace every challenge. My goal is to strive as a positive role model by influencing moral character with
Kristi Hedges is, self-purportedly, “good at managing [her] time” (para. 1). Considering her background espoused in Time Management for the Time Challenged as an “author, leadership coach” (para. 18), and successful guide to clients in need of time managing techniques (para. 3) the aforementioned assertion may be well founded. Unfortunately the rigours of life, “work, travel, and family”, overtook her, and inspired her to provide the wealth of experience at her fingertips for the general public (para. 4). In Time Management Kristi provides readers with three time management implementation strategies.
I have learned many new Programming languages and new tools independently using available training materials. Most recent extensive study I was engaged in was for preparation for Project Management Professional (PMP) Credential. I had to define the pace of learning and target for completion. As a first step I started with consulting with friends and forum, identified the syllabus for the course and knowledge area and skills that one must learn and understand to pass the exam. Once I had clear understanding of syllabus and knowledge gap, I developed a 4 month study plan and target date for taking exam.
I learned in this activity how crucial time management skills will be to my ability to complete this course successfully. The analysis from the questionnaire (Table 2) as well as keeping a record of what activities I focus on for a couple of days, opened my eyes to a few areas of improvement. From the patterns observed I could see that most of my time was taken up by work and commitments as well as procrastination. Not being able to juggle theses successful led to irritation and was unproductive. Research suggests that managing ones emotions, being self-aware and self-motivate can be factors for success for a student (Allan, 2009).
Portfolio Part B: Reflection on the overall learning within the module Prior to starting this course the MA Social Work course and the PPSWP module I felt very confident in the aspects of communicating effectively and working with a diverse range of people, and after the reading the professional capabilities framework I believe that I hold the same personal values which is expected of a social worker. The PCF6 talks about the importance of critical reflection and reflective practice explaining that it helps improve accountability, professional development and helps to you understand your own tacit knowledge and gain new knowledge, which improves outcomes and experiences for social workers. (Capabilities within the PCF, 2016) For this reflection
A. OBJECTIVE AND THEORETICAL BACKGROUND In this individual reflective report, I will discuss how the Consulting Project course gave me opportunities to experience, explore and evaluate the real-life business case, how it strengthen my practical business knowledge, problem solving and leadership skills, and how the learning process will support my personal development goals. To help structure my reflective report, I will apply the Kolb’s model of reflection which we learned from the LPDCM course. This model is also known as learning through experience, described through the Kolb’s Learning Cycle: Figure 1. Kolb’s Learning Cycle (Source: Kolb, 2005)
I will endeavor to have a work life balance to ensure I am able to thoroughly experience university, considering social connections are essential in careers like business. Although university seems daunting with the rigorous work load and the social distractions, I will aim to meet my goal of successfully completing my Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) and acquiring a paid
Introduction In this reflective essay I will reflect upon the course based on the assignments and projects I have accomplished this semester. Recent research (Kornblith, 2012:3) identifies that reflection is an active process and making sense of the experience through the understanding of one’s actions. As suggested by (Roberts, 2011:63) she states that the understanding of reflection have been used to develop an action stage, which can further help to improve my skills and knowledge towards my course. This is vital as it ensures that i get the most out of my learning experience and i could use them to their maximum benefit.
In this Capstone I learnt from it that is not only work in the individual it also works in a team or a group of people to encourage us to solve challenging problems, think critically and develop skills. For example, build a good relationship, well-communication, planning, research skills, media knowledge, public speaking, teamwork, self-confidence, target setting and so on. Competitive strategy is a strategy that develops student focusing on emerging understanding and the dynamic of an industry which is local issues. A process of reproduction, reflection and experiential learning are enhanced within solve problems, decision making, analysis of general critical, capabilities of creative thinking and so on. All of these will help us in our future
It involves setting goals and managing your time. Developing my motivation and concentration skills will help me to overcome the lure of procrastination. Effective self-management will help me to avoid stress and provide me with more opportunities to get times to finish my
Language: the language that teachers use has to be high level, which conveys a sense of professionalism that is honourable, moral and dignified. Professional judgement: the teacher should be able to place the needs of the students at the center of professional judgement. The teacher should be aware of his/her individual values, personal experience, commitment to authenticity, decision-making processes and work towards providing sound judgement. There is a school of thought which says that judgement grows with time and implies knowledge and wisdom, that teachers’ judgment improves with time. However, it is essential to ensure that all teachers possess a significant level of professional judgment.
Time management: Time management is a very crucial component if you are willing to have a productive lifestyle. To be honest, I have always had issues with managing my time efficiently. This problem had become a huge obstacle once I got into college. Thus, attending a lecture that focuses on time management helped me a lot with this problem by introducing me to different aspects related to time management: planning, SMART goals, and important/urgent matrix. Learning to make a specific plan for my daily tasks and make a to-do list to make my day as productive as possible is something very helpful which was advised to me by the instructor of this lecture Mr. Irfan.
As a result of this I recognize the education at university is not enough as I thought and if I need to be a professional I should develop my skills in professional way. For this reason I decided to take this course. In this course I learned how to develop my abilities to be effective and more organize in order to encourage myself and my team for work. Before that it is important to rate myself to know where I am exactly and what I need to develop.
