There are many careers available to choose in life. Especially in the military branches, you have Marines, National Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard. In these careers I have looked between two jobs but I will be going with one true choice after much time of thinking;I will be going into the US Army. My main reason for not going into the Guard is because of the part time features. In the Guard, you pick an MOS to work however you ONLY work as a National Guard member one weekend a month. I am not usually one to be able to do many things at once. I don’t think I would be able to keep up with part time National Guard and continue schooling and other jobs that may be provided. US Army would be a full time commitment in which I would have a job schedule. US Army doesn’t only offer the full time but you get full time benefits. While I am stationed in the USA I will live in a military like town in which …show more content…
Everyone needs some sort of medical protection or insurance. In the Army, The second you leave for Bootcamp you receive your medical benefits. However in the Navy and Air Force you receive it after enlisting. On top of that Army covers insurance for all your immediately family. Most branches it is only the enlisted that receive most benefits. I also need to look into where I am going after Work. Do I want to start college after army and receive some benefits or do I want to do college during service. Marines, Airforce, and navy do not offer these -From knowledge and sources-. Serving time is also a major MAJOR thing to look forward to. Not only will you spent time away not seeing friends and family but you also will be making friendships that are the strongest you may ever see being a battle buddy. Also in some jobs you don’t have free time to call/text/skype or even mail your family and friends back home. Army has a time set on all their stations from 5pm to 5am is free time. Sleep as you will, Eat as you will, Play and explore as you
The United States National Guard is an excellent career choice for people all over the country. Many people take the National Guard path to fulfill their career needs. The National Guard, like any career, has its problems within the job. The National Guard’s main issues are with deployment. The National Guard takes parents away from their families for months, and even years, at a time to serve their country in foreign lands all over the map.
For me to be in the National Guard I have to take a test. On that test the better I do the more jobs that are open for me. Most of that test is Math so I have to study more. Then when I get the job have to do what I need to do to get this money.

Military services are notorious for leading to situations where soldiers in the military camps become separated from their families. The active-duty members of the armed forces are provided for an opportunity to be able to see their family members. There are also opportunities which they provide for in terms of emergency communication services (American Red Cross, 2013). They provide services at military camps and hospitals reserved for veterans in situations when there is sickness. Other services which they provide include emergency services and financial support in cases where there are
They still continue to intrigue me. Going into high school I considered the different branches of the armed forces. I decided the Army was the best fit for me and that becoming an active duty officer will be the best path to take to make the Army a career. In my junior year of high school that plan changed slightly. When I turned seventeen I decided to enlist in the Army reserves through the split option.
When your little you might know what your destined to be or you might not be focused on it. Than when the day comes to start the schooling you hesitate. Looking up ideas of careers becomes repetitive and annoying. Than you get a job doing whatever you could find until one day you realize that you deserve more and want to challenge yourself. For me it wasn’t easy deciding what to do.
Being in the US Army I am writing this paper to dig deeper and enhance myself with more information about the US Army. While writing this paper I want to verify that I’m making the right decision for my life .I want to verify that I’m making the right decision because I have slight bias on joining the army as a black woman. I say that because it is already hard enough being a woman in the Army; they already face discrimination and I just feel that I need to making the right for my own safety and good. Along with that, I feel that writing this paper will help me conceive a pictures of what I’m getting myself into when I graduate highschool.
As I am getting ready to begin my college years, my experience in America is getting richer every day. I have realized how much opportunities I have being an American citizen and living in this part of the world compared to the life i lived in Togo and I intend to make the most of it. I’m working toward my goals and one of them is to join the military. I always have the desire of serving people and I believe serving in the Military is one way to show my gratitude to my new country and its
The question is: Do I re-enlist or do I quit? Do I stay and fight with the army or do I go home to my aging mother and my family that I miss dearly? I am choosing to re-enlist, because the Army needs as much help as possible, things were beginning to get better, and there is George Washington
Another key concern most governments face with this kind of military service for those who serve physical condition. Most think when someone says physical condition that they have lost a limb or have been shot. There is more to it than that. There is a concern that most of these countries start preparing their citizens at an early age are cause many to retire because they are disabled. Since most of these countries have school programs to start preparing their citizens for military service.
While the military maybe a riskier job there are great benefits for it.
With graduation rapidly approaching, and my family short on money, the military seemed to be the best option. My step father helped me rank the branches in order of what would suit me best to least. The Coast Guard and Navy were my first options, for my love of water. Water is familiar and calming. Because senior year was starting, I went to the recruiting office and signed up to join the Navy.
MILITARY : What is the military? In straightforward terms, the U.S. Military are comprised of the five armed service branches: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. There are three general classes of military individuals: active duty (full-time officers and mariners), reserve and guard forces (generally work a regular citizen work, yet can be called to full-time military obligation), and veterans and retirees (past individuals from the military). What's more obviously there are a large number of relatives and companions of military individuals, past and present.
