The four pillars of the National Honor Society consists of leadership, scholarship, service, and character. These characteristics must be possessed by an individual in order to be a member of the society. I believe that I possess all the these four qualities and should become a member of National Honor Society. Leadership is when someone has a positive influence on people and brings out the best in them. I am a leader of the junior class student body as being a member of student council. I am a member of the Lady Titan Varsity Soccer team, a member of Key Club and Junior Optimist, and holding a job, all while maintaining good grades. I encourage people to get involved in various activities and can be depended on to help whenever while having fun and enjoying life. So I am a leader to those younger than me and older. I have managed to hold a cumulative grade point average of a 4.0 throughout my freshman and sophomore year, and I am ranked number one in my class. I have worked hard in my classes to earn this great …show more content…
I love volunteering because even though you don't get money for helping someone, you get the joy and happiness of knowing you did something good for someone else. Being a member of Key Club and Junior Optimist I have the opportunity to volunteer frequently in the community and to the school. I have volunteered to work in various booths at the Glandorf Park Fest. I helped work at the YMCA Trunk or Treat to pass out candy to the little kids on Halloween. A group of my friends went over to Kalida to help with the Triathlon. There we cheered on the participants, and help keep track of times. I always enjoy caroling to the people at the rest homes and watching their faces light up as we sing little jingles through the halls. I also volunteer to be a mass server at St. John’s in Glandorf. Volunteering gives me a chance to give back to my community and school and to help make a
The activities and events we host are always very fun and exciting. I have been a volunteer since my freshman year of high school, which is when they allow you to be a volunteer. Before that you may participate in the activities. I feel that this volunteer project does benefit both me and the recipients, because I get to experience such an amazing act of kindness that changes a person 's life forever. It also benefits the recipients, because they get to have their lives changed forever.
I am very proud and grateful to say that I have been given the privilege of qualifying to join the National Honor Society. It would be, naturally, an honor to be a part of such a prestigious institution. However, to do so, one must epitomize its five tenets: character, responsibility, leadership, scholarship and service. Being an avid member in the community, I have grown to embody these traits. My experience and upholding of the fundamentals of character, leadership, scholarship, responsibility, and service will readily employ me to play a part in continuing the legacy that the National Honor Society possesses Though I am an active theatre-goer, I know that character is more than a part or role in a play.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship, service, and leadership. First, I have good character. I take criticism willingly, and I also welcome recommendations. Second, I demonstrate citizenship well. Civic involvement is very important, and I have high regard to freedom, justice, and respect for the American form of government.
There are many reasons I believe I should be inducted into National Honors Society. First, I maintain an A grade average. Second, I am a leader in my school and community. Third, I am very active with actives in and out of school. These are all great qualities to have.
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
Leadership is being bold enough to provide a vision, and humble enough to recognize achieving it will take the efforts of many people. It means being an example, a contributor, and a motivator. Leadership is inspiring, and empowering a team to work towards a common goal. Leadership is understanding people's talents, and temperaments and creating an environment to let others soar to their highest potential. Through out my high school career leadership has been a big part of my life.
I believe I display all of the qualities mentioned in the four pillars of National Honor Society. I am a person of good character who displays the six pillars of character in everything I do. I provide leadership and service in many ways and value education as a lifelong learner. Being a member of the National Honor Society would motivate me even more to be the best version of myself and help to create change in positive
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
Another activity we have been involved in is volunteering at the annual Bauer Farm Harvest Festival, which led me to another service organization I have been involved
It is truly a great honor to be considered as a potential member of one of the most prestigious organizations in the country. The National Honor Society (NHS) is founded on three pillars: leadership, service, and character. These pillars are what every member of the NHS abides by daily. I believe I exemplify what the NHS was created for and would be a great addition to the organization. Leadership is a core part of what the NHS is all about.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your

The service opportunities that I will have as a part of NHS is what I look forward to the most.
