The four pillars of the National Honor Society consists of leadership, scholarship, service, and character. These characteristics must be possessed by an individual in order to be a member of the society. I believe that I possess all the these four qualities and should become a member of National Honor Society. Leadership is when someone has a positive influence on people and brings out the best in them. I am a leader of the junior class student body as being a member of student council. I am a member of the Lady Titan Varsity Soccer team, a member of Key Club and Junior Optimist, and holding a job, all while maintaining good grades. I encourage people to get involved in various activities and can be depended on to help whenever while having fun and enjoying life. So I am a leader to those younger than me and older. I have managed to hold a cumulative grade point average of a 4.0 throughout my freshman and sophomore year, and I am ranked number one in my class. I love volunteering because even though you don't get money for helping someone, you get the joy and happiness of knowing you did something good for someone else. Being a member of Key Club and Junior Optimist I have the opportunity to volunteer frequently in the community and to the school. I have volunteered to work in various booths at the Glandorf Park Fest. I helped work at the YMCA Trunk or Treat to pass out candy to the little kids on Halloween. A group of my friends went over to Kalida to help with the Triathlon. There we cheered on the participants, and help keep track of times. I always enjoy caroling to the people at the rest homes and watching their faces light up as we sing little jingles through the halls. I also volunteer to be a mass server at St. John’s in Glandorf.
