After asking others about how they would rank the set of capacities listed above, I learned my strengths and weaknesses. My strengths include empathy and the ability to inspire trust as well as meaning, creativity, and the passion for the mission of the organization. My weaknesses include taking the initiative, intellect, and play. There are many things that I can do to further strengthen my strengths. My strongest strength is empathy and the ability to inspire trust. I can continue to develop this strength by helping others whenever they are in need and by always telling the truth. I can also continue this by always doing what I am asked of. For example, I can gain trust from my coach by always going to practice. If I decided to skip practices …show more content…
Empathy and the ability to inspire trust is very important for an occupational therapist because clients need to trust that you care about them and that you are going to do your best to help them get better. Also, having empathy and the ability to inspire trust will help me with future employers because an employer wants to trust that their employee is good at their job and that they will work hard to reach and bring out the mission of their organization. Something else that will help me capture an employers attention will be my passion for the mission of the organization. I will do my best to show my employer that I care about the mission of their organization and that I care about succeeding as an organization. Another skill that will set me apart from others is my dedication and motivation to succeed as an occupational therapist. I will work extra hours, always put my clients first, and always stay professional in order to show my future employer that I am dedicated and serious about performing my job to the fullest. Something else that I will do is work on the criteria listed above and will show my employer that I can take the initiative, and that I have the intellect and all the skills necessary to become

A resident assistant is supposed to provide a safe, welcoming environment where residents feel free to communicate and express themselves. My biggest strength that relates to the roles of the RA position is being able to Communicate effectively. I am a Communication major, and I have learned to speak in public, and speak in a manner that is both understandable and clear. I have been told many times before that I have a great sense of humor and extremely creative. Being creative is a key strength in the role of an RA as well as a sense of humor because these are the traits that will bring a community of students, students who probably don't know each other well, together as well as conduct fun educational programs that will engage each resident.
We should always guide and support our patients to help them learn gain new knowledge and to learn to live their life independently. Occupational therapy services promote a relationship with their patients but not on a personal level but on a professional level it allows them to network. No one person is the same as another, we all interact, behave, think and feel differently, and I think this is what amazes me the most. One strength that is substantive to my career that I believe I have, is empathy. I have always had such an efficacious sense of empathy with the people around me.
I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant Student from Community College of Baltimore County. I am a second year student preparing for my level II fieldwork. Upon completion, I will be eligible to enter the workforce. Based on the previous experiences I have had at Mental Health fieldwork, it is evidenced that Occupational Therapy Practitioners are needed in Mental Health settings. Occupational therapy practitioners encourage individual at mental health setting to live a healthy lifestyle such as preparing healthy meals, exercises, drinking water, and taking good care of themselves.
Occupational therapy saved my family. Growing up with a sister with severe spastic cerebral palsy to include both cognitive and functional deficits, life existed on a day to day, hour by hour basis, as we were unsure of challenges each moment would bring. This all changed the moment occupational therapy brought quality of life back to me and my family. My very personal experience defined my purpose to become an occupational therapist, to pay the gift given my family forward.
What are your two strengths and what is your weakness? My two greatest strengths are my communication and problem solving skills. I excel at understanding customer needs and motivations, and using this insight to tailor selling points, to understand potential obstacles, and to devise effective solutions. My greatest weakness has been the difficult I have in declining additional work assignments.
To begin with, my top strength is positivity. According to Rath, “ You are generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in the situation” (Rath p141). I believe it is always important to be positive regardless of how bad a situation is. My job is to motivate others when they become pessimistic of a certain task. This strength is essential in both school and a career as neither a classmate or a co-worker wants to surround him or herself with negativity that makes for a long day.
Leaders possess different strengths that allow them to succeed in their career or life. My top five strengths were competition, positivity, winning others over (WOO), harmony, and achiever. Based on the meaning of each strength, I related to all them, however, I was surprised by some of them.

Strategic planning for retention of nursing staff using SWOT analysis. Strengths and weaknesses are often internal to organization, while opportunities and threats generally relate to external factors. For this reason, SWOT is sometimes called Internal-External Analysis and the SWOT Matrix is sometimes called an IE Matrix. The first step in SWOT is strength of the organization for retention of nursing staff. To develop a retention strategy is identifying the factors that motivate nurses to stay.
Strengths and Weaknesses My three major strengths are medication administration, communication with patients, and asking questions when I do not fully understand something. I feel like throughout my preceptorship these have grown stronger, and have helped me to be successful. My three major weaknesses that I have been focusing on throughout my residency are communicating with physicians, completing skills I am unfamiliar with, and improving my confidence. I would say that these have improved quite significantly, but I still have a ways to go.
