Personal statement Nursing is one of the most demanding and difficult careers, but if the reward comes with thankfulness and trust, it is definitely worth it. My desire to take the nursing course was not spontaneous; I have always shown the interest in helping other people and it was my long lasting dream to become a part of a healthcare system. I fully realize that it is important to have a realistic understanding of what being a nurse means. For the last twelve years I have been working as a nurse in the operation theatre. I have got a valuable experience while working in the team with real professionals who taught me to follow all the medical instructions and be attentive on the working place. There are times when my work becomes very stressful and exhausting, but …show more content…
The nursing becomes more and more involved in the communication with patients and their families, and also providing not only physical, but also emotional support. In some cases it literally means support for patients until the end of life. Moreover, it is important to be able to develop relationships with patients quickly and clearly understand their needs. Thus, I believe I have all of the above mentioned qualities and will do my best to improve them even more. The various skills which I gained while working in the operation theatre can be basis for the future studying and practice. I have a huge motivation and determination to achieve my desired career, and I am ready for academic challenges. There is a lack of experienced and educated nursing staff in my home country, Kuwait. That is why Bachelor of Nursing can be a huge benefit for me while applying for a job in hospitals and medical centers. Thus, it would give me an opportunity to find an interesting job in the health care field, and also help contribute to the development of the National Health care
Good evening. I would like to start by sharing a quote from an unknown author: Being a nurse isn’t about grades, it’s about being who we are. No book can teach you how to cry with a patient. No class can teach you how to tell their family that their parent has died or is dying. No professor can teach you how to find dignity in giving someone a bed bath.
My childhood initiated a desire to help prevent and mitigate injury or illness; this soon flourished into an interest in the health care field. To help narrow my choices I explored as many science courses as I could. Talking with health care professionals and reading nursing textbooks I found in my aunt’s house piqued my interest in the nursing field and patient care. From there, I completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course which further solidified my decision. Now, I am fully invested in becoming a nurse.
A person was just in a serious car crash, they flew out the window and broke they 're neck, yet they get through it because of a person who was there to help them through the frightening memories, the pain, and stress; the nurse practitioner. A nurse practitioner does a variety of tasks in a hospital. A nurse practitioner is a higher position than a regular nurse. A nurse practitioner requires a Masters degree from an accredited program, some licenses, passing an exam, and good communication. Becoming a nurse practitioner first requires a Masters degree from an accredited program.
Registered Nurse Kendra Stine English 11 III Miss Mittelman Mifflin County High School The career I am writing about is a registered nurse. A registered nurse can do many different things in their career field. I chose the career of being a registered nurse because I want to be like my mom. She is my best friend, and she is a great Certified Nurses Aid (CNA).
When I was a little kid I always dreamed of becoming a nurse I would always be nurses on television taking care of people and making them smile one of my biggest passion is to become a nurse. During high school I got the option to take a certified nursing assistant class throughout the class because everything that we needed to know but my teacher was not very good throughout clinicals she would only tell us stuff one time and she would never explain it we had to always figure it out by ourselves. The course was very challenging and when it came time to take our certified nursing assistant exam I felt really unprepared. Although I would always read my book and study the sections that she told us to and I would do good on my test and quizzes
My Intent to Be a Nurse Practitioner Coming from a third world country where there aren’t many opportunities for work and funding for education, proceding to nursing school was a grand opportunity. The privilege to attend a government subsidized school where top students in the region compete to get into the program that allowed only 60 students per year was indeed a blessing. As clinical rotations began, what was once considered a mere opportunity evolved into a true passion for caring as I truly love and enjoy nursing and helping people.
When I contemplate why I want to pursue a career in the medical field, I picture my high school allied health class where my enthusiasm for the field first started and I became a Certified Nursing Assistant. I have been around hospitals and doctor’s growing up, but that class opened my eyes to a new world. To learn extensive amounts about the healthcare field and have the opportunity to gain clinical experience has no comparison, to be able to learn hands on at that age, and know that I wanted to care for patients. To see all those elderly residents, to experience helping them and showing them compassion, it made my day, every day I was there. The fact that I can do two things I love, learning new things and helping people get better excites

Either way, nursing is a profession that will always be important to maintain a growing, healthy community. At the end, she inspires students to follow a career they love rather than pursuing a career just for
I discovered the importance of empathy and understanding as the patients were very frightened and by listening to them, I found I was able to put their mind at ease and give them a more positive medical experience. I was able to speak to both the surgeon and anaesthetist and learnt the immense commitment involved however being able to improve lives was rewarding. I established that nurses play a soothing role for the patient in their whole journey and found their

Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. For a long time now I could just envision myself in the blue scrub running out to the ambulance as the EMT rushed the patient into the hospital. And successfully collaborating with a team of people to save someone's life.
With almost 15 years of experience of working in an acute hospital has been rewarding for me and the benefit of showing empathy has further reinforced my desire to pursue a registered nurse degree . My goal as a nurse is to grow and learn each day, knowing that each day will provide me with new knowledge making me a better nurse than the day before, and becoming a better nurse the following day than the previous day.
