What gets portrayed in the mind after hearing the word, Iran? All people living in Iran are Muslim. Iranians support all of the Islamic government’s actions. All Iranian women want to wear a veil. No one in Iran likes western culture and wants to end the spread of the culture. These are all negative stereotypes made about common day Iran. Stereotypes are an oversimplified image which creates a portrayal of a certain person or a group of people. As a result, these negative stereotypes create a single story about the culture, hence are difficult to be replaced in the mind.
