Brutus was an honorable, kind, and noble friend to Julius Caesar. But Brutus was also part of Caesar’s death. Brutus was a man of Rome and was loved by everyone in Rome. Everything he did was for the good of Rome. But due to his lower intellect, he fell for Cassius' sinister plan to kill Caesar. During the battle, Cassius sends out a messenger to see how his army is doing. To Cassius’ eye, it looked like the messenger was taken down by the opposing army. But, in reality, it was Cassius’ army saying their winning. Cassius was so scared that he had a soldier stab him in the heart, killing him. After hearing the news about Cassius, Brutus starts to get worried and inevitably decides to kill himself. Due to Brutus' and Cassius' actions, their armies fall apart causing Mark and Octavius to win the battle. They stand over Brutus’ body and say, “Then take him to follow thee, That did the latest service to my master. “This was the noblest Roman of them all. All the conspirators save only him. Did that they did in envy of great Caesar. He only in a general honest thought And common good to all made one of them. His life was gentle and the elements were so mixed in him that nature might stand up And say to all the world “This was a man.”- Antony, “According to his virtue, let us use him With all respect and rites of burial. Within my tent his bones tonight shall lie, Most like a soldier, ordered honorably. So call the field to rest, and let’s away. To part the glories of this happy day.” - Octavius. Pg. 106, sec.
When Titinius returns to Cassius’ body, he mourns and commits suicide as well. When the first battle was over, Octavius was given authority and took over the name “Caesar”. Brutus was expected to fight the second battle, however he could not bare to battle again, so he sends a diversion and ends up killing himself. Octavius and his army head back to Rome in Triumph. In the play, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. There was a man named Caesar who passed by the painful death of his best friend bestowed upon him. His name was Brutus, and he was known for being respected by most and loyal to the Roman Republic. Brutus was so lost in doing what was best for Rome and his people he committed a crime that no one could ever imagine.
Brutus believed that his friend Caesar had a negative impact on Rome and decided he needed to take over and kill Caesar. Brutus was determined to do this to help Rome, to save it from what Caesar was gonna do. Adding to it he knew if Caesar got the crown he would never be able to protect Rome. Despite Brutus being a well intentioned patriot, Brutus is ultimately responsible for the death of Caesar. Even though Caesar was his friend, Brutus always showed loyalty towards Rome.
Introduction: There are several things that people could say killed Brutus or were the “cause and effects” of his death. I have chosen to talk about the fact that I think he was kinda unintelligent, because he was super easily manipulated into killing his best friend. I then talk about times he was honorable. Last but not least I talk about how he was noble.
Antony and Octavius knowing that they've won even before they arrive to find Brutus's body. Antony gives a speech over the body in his style, saying Brutus was the noblest Roman ever and the only one of the conspirators who killed Caesar for Rome's good and not out of envy. Finally, Octavius agrees that Brutus's body can stay in his tent for the night, befitting a dead soldier, as Octavius and his friends will be out celebrating all the death and victory. Antony has met up with Lepidus and Caesar's adopted son, Octavius. Together they'll form the new triumvirate to lead Rome and battle against Cassius and Brutus.

But some only care for themselves or people close to them, not everyone as a whole. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare, the ruler of Rome at the time, Julius Caesar rose to power in 44 B.C. He was going to be crowned king of Rome; however, a group of conspirators led by Marcus Brutus killed Caesar and attempted to rule over Rome.
He is initially portrayed as an honorable man who loves Rome and fears Caesar's growing power. However, his decision to join the conspiracy ultimately leads to his downfall. He underestimates the chaos that follows Caesar's death and fails to rally the people of Rome to his cause. He is eventually defeated by Antony's superior tactics and is forced to commit suicide. Despite his good intentions, Brutus is ultimately responsible for the death of his friend and the chaos that follows.
He was a great friend of Caesar but he wanted to join in with the conspirators to free Rome from Caesar's later bad decisions that could be made. Brutus believes that Caesar would be good for Rome. He feels that Caesar is a young man who dont even have any intentions on being a leader to Rome, he only wanted to have a label to himself and do good for himself and only himself.
“Brutus and Caesar: what should be in that ‘Caesar’? Why should that name be sounded more than yours?” (1.2.140). Brutus was a close friend to Caesar, and he didn’t kill Caesar because he didn’t like him. He did love Caesar, but his love for Rome was stronger and he didn’t want Caesar to ruin the great city he had even said “Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more. Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves.” (III.ii). Brutus thought that Caesar was too ambitious and that would have ruined Rome, so he wanted the best for the citizens of Rome and killed Julius Caesar.

Because of Brutus’s social status and nobility in Rome, most people saw him as a hero. During Caesar’s funeral speech, Brutus announces to the crowd his good intentions and why he killed Caesar. In act 3 scene 2, Brutus explains “Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more.” It is evident that he made a sacrifice for the better of Rome and thought of other people’s futures besides his own. Also, he has the heroic quality of being naive and seeing the best in people.
Some senators of Rome believed that Killing Caesar was the best choice they could make. They all thought they could live with the murder of Caesar, but Brutus has a hard time accepting this was the only choice. Cassius eventually convinces Brutus that killing Caesar is in Romes best intentions. In lines 10-15 Act two, scene one, “the only way is to kill Caesar. I have no personal reason to strike at him—only the best interest of the people.
(2.1.10-14). This explains that Brutus already had his mind made up that he was going to kill Caesar and although he did not have a personal reason. He listened to Cassius and got all of the bad stuff in Brutus’s head about Caesar. When really Caesar wasn’t that bad of a guy, he just acted how people that have that much power would
On the other side of the story, Cassius is telling Brutus that Caesar is being too much of a king and is saying that Brutus should be the king. Brutus, the loyal friend he is, declines the thought and says that he needs a little more time to think about the idea. However, Brutus is persuaded by Cassius plan to kill Caesar as he reads a letter believing it was the people but it was really Cassius.
