Halloween told by teachers’ point of view
“It was one spooky Halloween night, when my brother and I went trick or treating with our friends. We cut through a cemetery, where only the moonlight light our path. We were calmly walking when we heard spine-chilling noises coming closer. We all ran, but unfortunately I had dropped my candy bag. My brother took the brave decision to go back and get it,” told Mr. Cockerham.
With Halloween festivity right around the corner, ACS Cobham Middle School teachers reveal their experience with this spooky event. To many people Halloween is just a nice opportunity to get candy and to play dress up. But do the Middle school teachers really know the original purpose of Halloween?

Soon, the street will be full of children with ridiculous costumes on, knocking on strangers’ doors for useless candies. I considered Halloween as the most useless holiday ever in this country’s history since it encourages chronic childhood cavity and diabetes problems. Most importantly, those sugar-high children could end up in front a criminal’s house. Well, I’m glad that I do not get on young children if not, I might have had to prepare lists of props for this season. Young children sometimes do remind me of my childhood but they do not irritate me as much as young women do.
One of the most-awaited moments of the year is right here once again. Dim neighborhoods are brightened by ghastly smiles of Jack-o '-lanterns in communities where the breeze is also slowly getting colder and the leaves that have fallen off of pines give each step a crunch. In a few days, children dressed like pirates, princesses, ghouls, and little monsters will be knocking on doors requesting goodies and several other goodies. Yet just before Halloween begins, you can delight the kids in your community by teaming up with several moms and dads and arranging a Halloween scavenger quest.
In the year of 2012, one mischievous, dreary, quiet, and cold night Hurricane Sandy hit Pennsylvania and it brought over seven inches of rain in Southern Pennsylvania. Halloween had been postponed for everyone to the weekend due to 1.2 million people without electricity throughout the state. On October 29, a state of emergency was declared. This super storm caused all major roads and highways to be closed and the many people in low-lying areas were evacuated.

2. Tonight for Halloween, me and some friends are going over to one of my friend’s houses to watch scary movies. I am riding home with Laney after school and the other people will get there around 4:00 pm. Laney is really good at special effects makeup, so she is going to do some on all of us for fun.

There are definitely way more Christmas songs than Halloween songs but let’s make a playlist to see what will help us get in the Halloween spirit. Samhain was celebrated on October thirty-first like Halloween, because that was the day before the Celtic new year which was November first.
