The HR Sergeant is responsible for processing Soldiers pay, maintaining records, filing packets for promotions and essentially keeping the profession willing to push on with little to no distractions. A machine needs support to keep moving and it is the HR Sergeant providing support to Soldiers keeping the machine going. If Soldiers feel neglected, they are less likely to strive to become the experts needed. HR Sergeants have to mentor Soldiers on what documents they need to process and update outside sources of a Soldier’s status.
